Annual Sweet Spring Marketplace

Saturday, March 22rd • 10am-5pm & Sunday, March 23rd • 11am-4pm

Come join us, and bring a friend, for the 7th Annual Sweet Spring Marketplace at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds on March 22 and 23! Enjoy a delightful shopping experience with over 60 exciting exhibits, showcasing craftsmanship and businesses in the climate-controlled Main Event Center. The show is always bustling with cheerful shoppers and both new and returning exhibitors. The fairgrounds, located just 4 ½ miles east off I-75 on route 35, are nestled on the beautiful and spacious grounds by the Arthur O Fisher Park.

art, birdhouses, and whimsical items. Don’t forget to pick up Easter goodies for the kiddos’ baskets and some festive décor for your front door or dining table. As you stroll through the aisles, you’ll encounter the many talents of our exhibitors along Bluebell Boulevard, Petunia Place, Daffodil Drive, and Sweet Pea Street. It’s never too early to shop for those special Mother’s Day gifts, or presents for graduations, weddings, and baby showers.

Prepare to be dazzled by booths filled with sewn, embroidered, and crocheted items; candles and accent lighting; sports banners and great signs; houseplants; new and repurposed pieces for home and garden; pottery, fabulous home décor, vintage, woodcraft, farm-grown herbs tea, apothecary, dried flowers, flower art, jewelry, and women’s boutiques. Among these fantastic crafters’ booths, you’ll also find gift foods such as breads and cakes; honey, sauces, dips and boozey cupcakes!; freeze-dried candy, and dipped pretzels! Our select group of home and personal consultants includes Watkins, Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, and Cutco. Splurge… Indulge… Enjoy!

Don’t miss our Enter-to-Win booth with prizes from our exhibitors, and the chance to spin Esther’s Wheel of Fun or take the Spring Plinko Drop to win prizes. All donations go to the Dayton FoodBank. Bring a non-perishable item and get a free spin or drop. Co-sponsoring the Wheel of Fun and Plinko Board are two area businesses: Renewal by Anderson and LeafFilter Gutter Protection.

The $5 general admission grants you access to the show from 10 am - 5 pm on Saturday and 11 am - 4 pm on Sunday. Request a ticket for complimentary re-admission on Sunday. Children 12 and under are admitted free. As a big thank you to our military families in the surrounding Dayton area, we’re offering BOGO admission on both days. Show a Military ID at the door to receive Buy One Get One admission.

Spring is the perfect season for giving back to the community! Join us at the 7th Annual Sweet Spring Marketplace on March 22 and 23 at the Main Event Center, located at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. We’re excited to collect non-perishable food and household items at the “Enter to Win” booth, all in support of The Foodbank of Dayton/ Miami Valley.

This food bank plays a crucial role by providing infrastructure for over 100 member food pantries, community kitchens, and shelters across Montgomery, Green, and Preble Counties. It’s a fantastic cause that benefits our wonderful communities and offers a special way to show some love! We’re thrilled to support The Foodbank of Dayton/Miami Valley for the sixth year in a row and aim to surpass last year’s contributions!

ENTER TO WIN

Join us at the Enter to Win Booth for some fun games and drawings! By bringing a non-perishable food item or making a $1 donation, you’ll have the chance to spin Esther’s Wheel of Fun or play the Daisy Drop (Plinko). Everyone’s a winner! Additionally, we hold drawings at the Enter to Win Booth at least every hour, and often more frequently. Winners receive a variety of wonderful items generously donated by our exhibitors. When you arrive, you’ll receive an entry form to take to the Enter to Win booth. Names will be announced, and you need to be present to win. Good luck!

In Loving Memory 1955-2020

It has been 3 years since my husband, Dean Mengert passed and not a day goes by that I don’t miss him. He was strong, brave and fought lung cancer for over 7 years. His love was strong and he would move mountains for anyone.

In Loving Memory 1933-2024

Lainey was my angel, my mom, my best friend, my storywriter, and my biggest supporter of my business. She had a heart full of love and would help anyone, always a friend to all. She was deeply loved and is so dearly missed.

Upcycled Elegance

Jacquie Pollitt creates unique recycled, upcycled, and repurposed home and garden accents, including framed bottles, decorated vintage windows, ladder frames, birdhouses, feeders, planters, small furniture, and more. A thrifted frame and a creative idea led to Jacquie suspending a decorative bottle for displaying flowers - and the rest has been history for the past eight years, with some help from her partner, Ed. Your next statement piece could be waiting for you on Daffodil Street in Booth 91, so you won’t want to miss it!

Farmhouse Features

The 4th Avenue Farmhouse, co-owned by Kristie LeVangie-Melke and Rick Melke, is an urban farmstead and greenhouse in Middletown, Ohio. Inspired by sustainable living, the shop features farmhouse décor, cottage foods, handmade clay and sewn items, and seasonal goods, all crafted with sustainability in mind. On Bluebell Boulevard, in Booths 21 and 22 is where you will find new life brought to old materials, offering unique, eco-friendly products that celebrate creativity and individuality.

Parsley Pottery adds a touch of handcrafted beauty to any home with functional mugs and bowls to decorative pieces with unique designs, each creation is made with love and artistry. This mother and son duo says whether you’re looking for a special gift or a new favorite piece for yourself, you’ll find something truly one-ofa-kind. Carol & Jason will be awaiting your arrival on Bluebell Blvd Booth 04.

Christina Gault of Artful Endeavors celebrates the beauty of nature through unique, handcrafted creations. The artist behind the work draws inspiration from a lifelong love of the outdoors.. Each painting reflects a deep connection to the wondrous colors of nature.

With fond memories of strolling along the Walhonding River—each season offering its own unique palette—Artful Endeavors crafts treasures like river rock earrings, necklaces, and sea glass bracelets. These creations embody the serenity of nature, offering a timeless connection to the natural world through wearable art. Look for Christina on the corner of Petunia place booth 59.

Beautiful Creations

Samantha Goley creates macrame wall hangings, plant hangers, jewelry, and more, blending vintage inspiration with a modern twist. A mental health therapist by day, Samantha discovered macrame as a creative outlet and gets to spend time with her husband and son sourcing driftwood along creeks. Her 100% cotton cord is one great feature of her pieces that she says she is honored to have in her customer’s homes. Bluebell Boulevard in Booth 24 is where Samantha and her beautiful creations can be found.

Welcome to Lovely Modern, where art, nature, and design come to life! Soon-to-bemarried duo Bri and Ryan Lovely have turned their passion into a growing business, dedicating every free minute to making it their full-time dream. For Bri, owning her own business has been a lifelong goal, and with Ryan by her side handling design, manufacturing, and business operations, that dream is becoming a reality. Their handcrafted, jesmonite-infused home décor—planter pots, jewelry trays, wax burners, and table lamps—blends modern aesthetics with natural beauty. Each oneof-a-kind piece is made with love, designed to bring warmth, personality, and greenery. They are sure to catch your eye on Petunia Place booth 53. Lovely Modern is more than a business— it’s a dream in the making!

In 2009, a search for a family sign turned into a passion for creating personalized wood signs. What began with a single CNC router grew into a thriving business, now offering custom home décor, sports logos, and engraved tumblers using wood, leather, plastic, and more. Their daughter has helped since high school, with her fiancé now pitching in too. Despite working full-time jobs, the owners pour their hearts into their craft, dreaming of making it their full-time adventure in early retirement.

Granny’s Collection

20 plus years ago Roger and Marie Stief started Granny’s Collection after initially buying resale items that then turned into solely crafting their own benches and birdhouses. Over time, their collection has expanded to include porch leaners, gnomes, blankets, and a variety of seasonal décor—so much so that two of their children have been inspired to start crafting as well. Stop by Bluebell Boulevard at Booths 10 and 11 to explore their handcrafted treasures and find the perfect gift for that special someone in your life.

Bill Vance is fully embracing his creative journey! After retiring from careers as an owner-operator steel hauler and tree remover, Bill has spent the past two years crafting truly one-of-a-kind table and floor lamps, as well as wind chimes. With Bev, his supportive “barometer,” cheering him on, Bill continues to push the boundaries of his imagination. There’s almost nothing he can’t transform into a stunning lamp that’s sure to be the center of conversation. Don’t miss your chance to see Bill’s Unique Lamp Designs on Bluebell Blvd at booth 2— you can’t miss him!

Lifelong Passion

After retiring Kim Rhodes wanted a creative outlet and discovered a passion for designing and painting barn quilts. She creates hand-painted wood barn quilts, purses, bags, and various items made from recycled denim, along with crafted hats, sewn goods, and candles. With a lifelong love for sewing, she especially enjoys and stays busy making her unique bags and purses that you can find on Daffodil Street in Booth 70.

Crissy Wilhelm has always had a passion for crafts, from teaching themselves to knit in middle school, to later sewing and crocheting, and experimenting with jewelry-making. Born and raised in Findlay, OH, she has always found crafts to be an outlet. Now running a full-time business with the support of her family, she creates handmade crochet items like cozy blankets, chunky throws, pillows, dish scrubbies, coasters, ear warmers, cowl scarves, and scrunchies. It is this support that has been essential in making her business thrive, she says. See what suits your fancy in her Booth 30 on Petunia Place.

Erin Swank launched SwankE Creations by crafting shirts with a Cricut on her mom’s dining table. Today, SwankE Creations has flourished into a thriving business, offering custom t-shirts that highlight your unique personality. Sweet Pea Street in Booth 92 has Bmcreations79 by Brenda Marlar that specializes in resin and wood creations, including earrings, coasters, custom memorial pieces, and woodworking. What began as a hobby has grown into a passion for crafting meaningful, one-of-a-kind items. If you are looking for a personal gift make sure to see Brenda who loves working with unique items and ideas, encasing them in resin to create lasting keepsakes that customers can cherish forever.

Wild Ways Farms is an all-natural family farm in London, Ohio, growing a variety of vegetables, fruit trees, herbs, and flowers. Our farm produces an assortment of goods, including fresh flower bouquets, vegetable produce, and cottage goods like jellies, jams, pickles, and ferments. We also offer dried herbs, herbal teas, apothecary items, dried flower bouquets, wreaths, and art, as well as handmade items such as pottery, beeswax candles, and hand brooms. Mari invites you to wander in to Purple Reign Boho, where free spirits and creative souls find their perfect match! She specializes in custom, handcrafted treasures, boutique clothing, and artisanal candles—all thoughtfully curated for those who crave individuality and embrace eclectic style.

Woodworking, games, and dogs

It all started with a Christmas gift: a Planeswalker deck for him, and a surprise Commander deck for her. Soon, their free time was filled with tapping lands, casting creatures, and being watched by their five lazy pups. Katie DeVilbiss said as lifelong makers, they upgraded their shop and got to work. Their first creations—beautifully crafted deck boxes—highlight the natural character of wood. But nothing goes to waste! Scrap pieces become charming dog-themed signs, and even the tiniest leftovers are transformed into laser-cut paw print ornaments.
