County Explorers, which is a program through the Hancock County Sheriff’s office where teens are given opportunities to have a look into professions within the Sheriff’s Office.
Additionally, all our vendors who advertised in this edition of the Show News will receive 25 contest entries to hand out to customers who make a purchase in their booth. See page 10 for more details.

My husband, Dean Mengert passed in 2020 and not a day goes by that I don’t miss him. He was strong, brave, and fought lung cancer for over 8 years. His love was endless, and he would move mountains to make sure that all Cloud Production events were fun for all. Besides driving my truck and trailers (with the help of some friends) to all the shows he would fix small problems when power was not working in a booth, grabbing a tractor to help get vendors’ trailers placed safely, hop in a golf cart to help a customer get to their car with all their purchases, and he loved telling corny jokes to make people smile during set-up and tear down. When Dean was MIA he could usually be found getting spoiled from the food vendors with
yummy samples or shopping for metal art gifts to place in the yard. Dean never knew a stranger and built so many friendships with the vendors over the years that it made it fun for him to catch up with everyone over the weekends. Bigger than life and full of love for me. Don’t take a day for granted. Tell someone you love them. -Judy

Nina’s art and soul
Nina Redding’s love of circles and passion for mandalas evolved into dot art as Nina’s Art and Soul. Dot art is her way of combining circles, mandalas, and thrifting to make something vivid and beautiful. Most of her work is fashioned with recycled items. FAMILY UPDATE
Memories made with family and friends are priceless treasures that mean the most when looking back at all the laughs and tears shared with so many. This includes the last 35 years of Cloud Production shows at the Hancock County Fairgrounds. Cloud Productions has survived floodings, sunshsine, rain and snow, and one year that nearly paralyzed everyone. Cloud Productions has succeeded all these years by working closely with the city, county, health department, fairgrounds and multiple individuals to find solutions so the shows go off without a hitch as a fun, relaxing event so many are a-custom to attending. The cheerful décor and finding new and returning vendors are traditions for so many families.
When I took the leap and started Cloud Productions in 1987, I was successful because of the support of my Mom and Dad, husband Dean, and kids. Their dedication and support have been the glue to so many years of fun and success with both vendors and customers. I’ve been learning to take more time to stop and smell the roses and enjoy time with grandkids and family because memories are priceless and what fills my heart the most.
After losing the love of my life in 2020, I have been bombarded with the paperwork and emotions of finding a new normal and am hopeful that 2023 is going to be a clean slate going forward. I am thankful for friends who have helped manage the farm and help keep Cloud Productions moving forward.
Dani, Cliff and the girls and Max added a fur child to the family in 2022. A French bulldog named Moose. Recently they had a small scare with Moose going out onto the pool that was still covered and fell in.
Thankfully Dani saw him treading water and jumped in to save him. He is a good boy who travels to all softball games for the girls and has adopted himself as Cliff’s sidekick. Max is getting big and loves sports as well, but we will see if he is a soccer player, basketball player or following his sister and becoming a baseball player. Maddie and Kenzie are growing up too fast and I was able to make a few trips down to Tennessee last year to do a little shopping and ringing in the New Year. I love Nashville and all the hustle and bustle of entertainment. Dani and Cliff are Navy Vets and this year they took a family cruise. Although everyone had a blast, Cliff and Dani don’t miss sea life but they might do another cruise sometime.
fur kids Baiden and Ellie are good keepers of the little brothers, and they allow Harrison to crawl all over them without a care in the world.
Mac, Jillian, and the boys are having a great time being a little family. I have been able to pop down to Dayton quite a bit celebrating birthdays and the holidays. Harrison celebrated his 1st birthday in 2023 with a Winnie the Pooh themed party with family and neighbors. He eats everything and is happy all the time. His big brother Edison turned 3 this year and he is into everything from animals, trucks, and sports. He is a good big brother and is a spitting image of his dad. The
Over the last year I was also able to make special memories with Mom, Lani, and sisters out East. Enjoying the beach and sun is always a yes!. While there, I was able to take Mom to a nephew’s wedding where Lani even did a little dancing.
Back home I have been out and about taking in some local events over the last year with close friends. My sister Susan came out for a much-needed visit and joined me at the Dayton show.
I am looking forward to a fun summer and meeting up with the family.

Owner Curt stated, “Growing our plants from seeds takes a lot of love and care and we also bring that passion to the production of our products.” This Ohio Proud company is based out of Ottawa, Ohio with their local hot sauce that can be found Outside in Booth P. Local hot sauce is the best hot sauce!
If we asked Travis about two years ago to make a bowl out of wood, he probably would have asked in return, “why?” Yet a social media video on that very topic appeared satisfying to him. So he invested in tools and began a new hobby. He initially crafted bowls for the coffee table, began a “Firewood Rescue Program”, then opened an Etsy shop. Although woodturning started off as a hobby less than two years ago, it quickly escalated into a dream job, proving that “work” doesn’t have to be something dreaded. Travis said, “There is no limit to creativity and the odds are, someone out there will think what you have created is the perfect piece. Maybe not every piece, but that is why keeping your head up, persevering, and never stoping creating are the most important ingredients to loving what you do. Strive to INSPIRE, love to CREATE and don’t forget to TURN IT UP!!” Find Turn It Up by Travis with the turtle logo Outside in Booth AA.

Giving Back to the Community by way of Ester’s Wheel and Enter-to-Win
Every year Cloud Productions supports the local communities where the shows are by giving back. At all Cloud Production shows, special causes are chosen to receive the monitary donations recieved from the Ester’s Wheel and the Plinko - Drop. Some of the benefactors have been the Little Train on CR 99, Food Banks, Art Scholarships at FHS, Habitat for Humanity, Cattlemen’s Association in Memory of Dean Mengert and Toys for Tots.
This 2023 Springtime in Ohio is an opportunity to support the Hancock County Sheriff’s Explorers, which is a program offered to those interested in the Sheriff’s Department, who are between ages 14 & 20, that want to gain a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experience, competition and other activities. The Hancock County Explorers would benefit from this donation by going towards their projects & uniforms, etc. Their volunteer youth group is growing with many young people wanting to learn and be a part of this program.
Tell your friends and family about this awesome donation opportunity that is made possible from our shuttle rides, or Esther’s Wheel of Fun and Plinko at the Enter-to-Win booth during the show weekend.
