The 6 tips Minimize washing - maximize airing Wool sweaters don’t need to be washed as often compared to other garments.

Instead of washing air them out after use. For a quick refresh, hang your wool garments in a steamy bathroom, where the moisture from the steam removes wrinkles.

Be gentle with stains If your wool sweater gets stained, don’t rush to wash the whole thing unless you really have to. Instead, use a damp cloth to gently remove the stain. This helps prevent unnecessary wear on the fibres.

Caring when not wearing Avoid hanging wool on hangers; instead, fold and place them in a drawer. This prevents stretching over time and keeps the shape and fit of your sweater.

To hand wash or machine wash Using the wrong washing machine setting, soaking wool in water to long, or handwashing by rubbing the garment together can lead to shrinkage and felting. Therefore, it is crucial to carefully review and follow the washing instructions on your wool sweater.

Careful drying and shaping After washing, lay your wool sweater flat on a towel to dry, ensuring it retains its shape. Avoid hanging wet wool sweaters, as this can distort their form.

Never place wool directly on a radiator or in sunlight.

Pilling removal It's important to note that pilling is impossible to avoid and is not indicative of the wool's quality; rather, it’s a natural outcome of the wool’s composition. When wool garments are worn and washed, individual fibers can loosen and form small balls or pilling.

The pilling usually forms as a result of friction. Pilling can be easily removed with our lint remover, to maintain the garment's smooth appearance.

If the sweater is labelled with a hand wash symbol, we recommend hand washing it with lukewarm water, with an appropriate wool detergent. Turn the garment inside-out and submerge it . Then swish it around to allow the soap to penetrate the fibres for no longer than 10 minutes.

Now it’s important to avoid scrubbing and rubbing the garment. Rinse twice to remove all soapy residue.

Don’t wring out wool clothing. Instead, press or squeeze out as much water as you can. Then, roll the garment in a dry and clean towel to remove excess moisture.

However, to make it easy for you most of our wool items are machine washable. That is the most practical and time-saving option. Choose the woolor hand wash cycle, which ensures a gentle and careful treatment of your knit. Additionally, turning wool clothes inside-out before placing them in the machine helps prevent friction and potential surface damage. Always use a detergent designed for wool.

It is good for most knitted sweaters to be pressed from time to time. If you use an iron without steam, put a damp cloth over.

Otherwise, iron with steam and put a dry cloth over the clothes to avoid shiny ironing marks. Always avoid tumble dry your knit, as it can cause felting.

Never use hot- or very cold water when washing, as it can cause damage
