At The Table you will find everything for a beautifully set dining table, whether for a dinner for twelve or a takeaway for two, a table set with attention makes any occasion special. Mix and match our different collections and colours for an unique tablesetting.

Everything is handmade, combining contemporary, timeless design, natural materials and age-old crafts. At The Table, we work with amazing artisans from all over the world. The companies and people we work with do so according to the standards of the World Fair Trade Organization: fair payment and good and safe working conditions. We believe it is very important that everyone in this world gets a fair chance. A significant part of our collection is made by women, who benefit from having their own income and therefore more independence.

We work sustainably as much as possible. Every step is one towards a fairer, more beautiful and cleaner world. We produce climate-positive and plastic free.

Who are we

The Table Amsterdam was started by Carla Peters and Stephan Zeijlemaker in 2019. As a designer, Carla has worked closely with makers in faraway countries for years. Stephan has earned his spurs as a sustainable entrepreneur by setting up a sustainable bedding brand.

Since mid-2023, The Table Amsterdam has been under Clip Quality Brands. This family company was founded in 1984 with Björn and Ruchama Bakker being the second generation to continue the business.

At Clip, we believe that people are happiest in a place where they feel completely at home. When you know that a product is fairly made, you can enjoy it more. That's why we always opt for sustainable relationships and set high standards for our suppliers. The Table Amsterdam is fully in line with this.
