ECG Exercise 1

Acceptable diagnostic quality.

Regular narrow complex tachycardia (likely PSVT) rate of 215. Global ST elevation (likely due to rate).

Return to Exercise 1

ECG Exercise 2

Acceptable diagnostic quality

regular sinus rhythm, rate of 78

ST elevation > 1 mm in I and aVL (Lateral) with reciprocal changes in II, III and aVF (Inferior). Also ST elevation > 2mm in V2-V4 (Septal and Anterior).

This combination of Septal, Anterior and lateral is also known as ‘Extensive Anterior’ Involvement’.

ECG Exercise 3

Acceptable diagnostic quality. This ECG does not have a 10 second strip of Lead II. As a result, it may be difficult to accurately assess the rhythm. It is sufficient however to determine ST segment and T Wave abnormalities.

Mostly regular sinus tachycardia, rate of 100. LBBB morphology. (QRS duration >0.12, broad R waves in lateral leads, and dominant S wave in V1).

ECG Exercise 4

Acceptable diagnostic quality.

Regular sinus bradycardia rate of 52. P wave morphology suggestive of LAE.

ST elevation > 2mm in V2-V5 (Septal, Anterior and Lateral). Also 1mm elevation in Lead I, and borderline elevation aVL (Lateral)

This combination of Septal, Anterior and Lateral is also known as ‘Extensive Anterior’ Involvement’.

ECG Exercise 5

Acceptable diagnostic quality.

Regular sinus rhythm, rate of 68.

T wave abnormalities - flipped T waves in I, aVL, V4-V6 (Lateral) and T wave flattening in II & aVF (Inferior)

ECG Exercise 6

Acceptable diagnostic quality.

Atrial flutter with 2:1 block* (atrial rate of 300, ventricular rate of 150).

*The block ratio in Atrial Flutter can change. Have a look at the Lead II 10 second strip. In the first R-R interval, the block ratio is 2:1. The following two are 3:1 (atrial rate 300 ventricular rate 100), then reverts back to 2:1 for the remainder of the ECG.

ECG Exercise 7

Acceptable diagnostic quality.

Third degree AV block (AKA complete heart block) with a ventricular rate of 37.

ST elevation > 1 mm in II, III & aVF (Inferior) with reciprocal ST depression in I, aVL (Lateral). Also pathological* Q waves in II & III (Inferior).

ECG Exercise 8

Acceptable diagnostic quality.

NSR rate of 78.
