As our 60th anniversary celebrations continue, excitement is building for our very first in-house pantomime, DickWhittington The Redgrave team is working incredibly hard to bring this spectacular production to life, and it’s truly going to be an outstanding finale to our milestone year. Featuring a fantastic cast including 18 talented local children, this show is a true celebration of everything that makes Bristol so special. The Redgrave Youth Theatre offers young people the opportunity to train with working theatre professionals in a welcoming, creative, performing arts environment in the heart of Clifton.
Our weekly sessions are inclusive, engaging, and confidence building. We welcome all abilities with no audition or previous experience required!
Participants develop core performance skills, including voice, movement, character, improvisation, and ensemble work, while gaining a unique insight into professional theatre practice.

Following the success of our weekly sessions, we’re excited to launch Play in a Week, an immersive summer theatre-making experience. Working with a professional theatre director and technical team, participants will form a theatre company and create a brand-new piece of theatre from scratch!
The week culminates in a live performance of the work on the iconic Redgrave Theatre stage for friends and family.

The Bar
Our fully licensed bar in the foyer opens an hour before each performance, offering a selection of local products including Bristol Dry Gin, Bristol Cider, and Marshfield ice creams. Additionally, you can pre-order your drinks before the show, ready to collect during the interval.
Concessions
This ticket type is available on selected shows and is listed within the ticket pricing of each production. Eligibility for these tickets include; Over 65’s, Registered disabled, Full time students and Benefits recipients. ID will be required for theatre staff to check eligibility for this type of ticket.
Children
Access
The main access to the auditorium is via two staircases, however we do have ground level access to the auditorium for access patrons. To use this entrance please ask a member of staff at the Box Office upon arrival. An accessible toilet is available in the foyer via a ramp at the front of the theatre.
Parking
Free on-street parking is available nearby after 5pm Monday to Friday and on weekends. Outside these hours, a pay and display system is operated by Bristol City Council. Blue Badge holders may park their vehicles on the double yellow lines in front of the theatre for up to three hours. We have three bike racks outside the front of the theatre for customer use.
How to book tickets
All under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. Children must not sit alone during any performance. Children under 24 months do require a ticket. During the booking process, please add on a free ‘Lap Seat’ to your order. Children under 24 months must be held comfortably on a lap or in an adult’s arms throughout the performance. Any child over the age of 24 months must purchase a paid child’s ticket, failing to comply could result in your booking becoming void. Baby change facilities are available.
Companions
Customers who require assistance are welcome to add a companion ticket to their booking at no extra charge. The companion must be able to assist with accessing the theatre and its facilities, and remain with the customer throughout their visit to ensure their comfort and wellbeing. All tickets are subject to availability at the time of booking and are assessed through our partnership with Nimbus Disability. To book accessible seating or discuss your requirements, please contact the Box Office during opening hours. Please mention your Nimbus Access Card when calling the box office so we can ensure all access requirements are fully supported at the time of booking.
Ticket Pricing & Booking Fees
All ticket sales are final at the time of purchase. Ticket prices may change before a performance if a promotion is introduced during the on-sale period. No partial refunds, credits, or compensation will be provided. Where possible we can exchange tickets at a fee of £1.50 to another showing of the same performance within the run. All tickets purchased online or by phone incur an additional booking fee of £1.50 per ticket, 20p of which is a restoration levy that helps us maintain and improve the building for our current and future visitors. Tickets booked in person are not subject to this fee.
Refund & Ticket Insurance
The Redgrave Theatre will not refund tickets except for the unlikely occurrence of an event being cancelled. When this is the case, the refunded amount will be for the face value of the ticket only. In the event of a show being rescheduled, your tickets will automatically be moved to the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, you can apply for a refund for the tickets up to one month after the show has been rescheduled.
If you wish to add ticket insurance to your booking you can purchase this at £1.75 per ticket. Please visit SecureMyBooking.com for more information. Purchasing ticket insurance however does not mean you are automatically entitled to a refund. A request must be submitted directly through their website and a case needs to be open and investigated before a refund of any kind can be given.
