I am now a proud owner of a small dyeing plant in Dudley UK. I bought a used industrial plant and refurbished it from the foundation to the walls and floors. When it came to roofing, I was confused. I did not know which type of roof I should choose. The yarn dyeing machines in my plant emitted heat, steam, and radiations. The smoke from generators went through the chimney. But the problem was with the insulation. I thought of installing false roofing just beneath asbestos that is made of some synthetic material. But the contractor firmly said No. He told me it can increase the problems as the steam and smoke can get trapped inside the plant. The alternate was to install rubber roofing beneath asbestos and fasten the two with each other. He agreed to install small-sized industrial turbines over the asbestos for extracting the steam and fumes out. I felt it was a wonderful idea because of two strong reasons. The first one was the extraction of steam and smoke. The second one was protection from the hot and cold climatic condition. I asked my contractor to also install a thick rubber layer over the asbestos to ensure double insulation.
