What is UL94 V-2 Flammability Classification? Polycarbonate materials are classified to UL94V-2, demonstrating self-extinguishing behaviour under controlled test conditions, where combustion ceases within a specified time after removal of the ignition source, with limited flame and smoke propagation. This classification supports improved fire safety performance in luminaires and is particularly important in applications such as tunnels, carparks,industrial facilities, and service areas where material performance under fault conditions is critical.
What is Halogen Free? Plastic formulated without halogen elements (eg. chlorine or bromine), reducing the release of toxic and corrosive fumes in a fire.
