SECURING FUTURES
Our Gold Standard careers information and guidance provision provides our students with opportunities to investigate and experience a breadth of careers and higher education opportunities from their first days with us until they leave for further education or apprenticeships.
Ofsted (2022) saw that “opportunities to prepare pupils for employment, higher education or training are given a high priority. The provision of careers is a real strength of the school”.
For those pupils who stay with us post 16 our sixth form provision shared with Kenilworth School enables us to offer a vast suite of academic and vocational qualifications.

“Westwood taught me the importance of resilience, perseverance and the power of a positive mindset. You taught me to embrace failure as a stepping stone towards success and you showed me the value of hard work and determination. These are lessons that I will carry with me throughout my journey, and for that, I am eternally grateful.”

“Students in the sixth form are rightly positive about the breadth and quality of the provision they access. Their lessons successfully build their knowledge over time. Study skills and opportunities to support charities are promoted. Students go on to higher education destinations, they feel this is due to the support and guidance they receive in the sixth form. As a result of quality pastoral support and personal development in the sixth form, students are confident and aspirational about their futures.”
