At Goffs-Churchgate we combine the highest expectations of academic outcomes and discipline, with a very strong community feel. We strive for excellence in all that we do, and work hard to support and challenge students so that they can achieve their best. We are a happy and caring community, with a dedicated and committed staff body, upholding high expectations and aspirations for all our students to ensure that every child is provided with the best possible education. Through our mantra of Respect, Aspire, Nurture and Achieve our young people are encouraged and taught to be respectful, empathetic, compassionate and to care for each other and our community. We are extremely proud of our strong sense of community which is nurtured so that each and every child can enjoy making a positive contribution to their school. The school combines academic rigour with a smaller secondary environment, perfect for those secondary age students who thrive best in a personalised community.

ASPIRE AT GOFFS-CHURCHGATE, STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO DEVELOP THEIR ASPIRATIONS AND AMBITIONS FOR THE FUTURE. This includes both academic performance, but also extra-curricular activities. The key to this is recognising the talents in all our children, whether it be academic prowess or their talents in PE, Dance, Music or Drama and nurturing these talents for the future. Through extensive work both academically and through enrichment, students develop a range of skills including resilience, independence, collaboration and communication. With the rapid changes to our modern society, developing these skills are essential as we support students’ determination to succeed.

Regardless of their starting point, every child is given support to realise their full potential. Our dedicated Learning + Centre provides a hub which nurtures and grows our students both academically and emotionally. Through this, we develop our students so that they are ready for all challenges and possibilities. All students have a dedicated aspirations programme which tracks their progress and supports them to achieve their full potential.

COMMUNITY WE WORK COLLECTIVELY TO FORM AN INCLUSIVE SCHOOL COMMUNITY. Goffs-Churchgate prides itself on its sense of community and family feel. There are many opportunities for all of our students to contribute to our community and become good citizens. These include various House and Sporting Events and raising money for local charities. We are confident that at Goffs-Churchgate there are opportunities for all students to be able to contribute to our successful school community. Students at our school are encouraged to take on positions of responsibility and leadership through our Student Leadership Programme.

Our teachers encourage students to love the challenge of learning.
