Cleveland State capped off a great 2022-23 season by finishing third at the Horizon League Championships, while the Vikings were one of two schools with multiple student-athletes named to the #HLGOLF All-Academic Team (Sabrina Coffman & Lexi Knight).

Sabrina Coffman had an incredible finish to her collegiate career, winning the first-ever Horizon League individual title in program history. She won the tournament with a 4-over par total and qualified for the 2023 NCAA Regionals. She finished the season with four top-five finishes including two tournament wins and was named the Horizon League Player of the Year.

WOMEN’S TENNIS

The Vikings finished the 2023 spring campaign with a 15-8 overall record and earned a spot in the #HLTennis Championship match for the first time in three years. Included in Cleveland State’s 15 wins was a six-match win streak, marking the third straight season that the Vikings tallied six or more consecutive dual match victories.

Throughout the season the Vikings were led by Horizon League Player of the Year Oihane Vicario, Horizon League Sportsmanship Award recipient Bethany Yauch, and All-League honorees Sima Heren and Tereze Vevere. In addition, Yauch also earned a spot on the #HLTennis All-Academic team.
