In this report, you'll meet Joel, Zariyah, and Memphis. Their stories are different, but each reflects the power of caring mentors, meaningful opportunities, and a place to belong. Because of you, they are discovering their strengths, finding their voices, and building Great Futures. Throughout 2025, we invested in programs and experiences that help young people succeed today and prepare for tomorrow. We also established Life & Workforce Readiness as our fourth programming pillar, alongside Academic Success, Health & Wellness, and Character & Leadership. This milestone reinforces our commitment to helping every young person reach their full potential. America Needs Club Kids. The future of our communities depends on young people who are prepared to lead, serve, innovate, and make a difference. That's exactly what your support makes possible every day at Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio. 2025 also reminded us of the power of community. Through our inaugural Dare to Dream celebration and the dedication of hundreds of volunteers, supporters across Northeast Ohio invested in the next generation. Together, they helped young people explore their interests, develop new skills, and imagine bigger possibilities for their futures. Thank you for your partnership and belief in our mission. Investing Time. Changing Lives. In 2025, 768 volunteers contributed more than 3,346 hours helping create safe, welcoming spaces where kids and teens can learn and grow. Throughout the year, we partnered with 50 volunteer groups, including 26 returning partners from 2024. Their generosity represents an estimated $112,059 in community impact based on national volunteer value data. Thank you for making a difference for the young people we serve. We are so grateful.

He has come a long way, thanks to your support It is hard to believe Joel spent the first 10 years of his life in a Spanish-speaking household 1,800 miles from Cleveland. Now 14, he is calm, confident and comfortable in his surroundings. Joel’s decision to join the Boys & Girls Club is a big reason why. At the Club, he worked at improving his English and succeeded to the point of being able to help others do the same. He blossomed as a leader and mentor, and developed a passion for science. “I feel I’m part of the Club, like I have significance in the Club,” he says. Zuhail Nieves, Director at the Joseph Gallagher Club, says Joel, whose family came to Cleveland from Puerto Rico, “is very helpful, always ready to lend a hand. He helps all the little kids, and I have even had him run programs.” Your support makes it possible for kids like Joel to thrive. Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio provides safe, fun places for young people to go after school, with a focus on academic success, healthy lifestyles, character and leadership and life and workforce readiness. Joel joined the Club when he was in fifth grade. “I was bored at home, so I came to the Club to have some fun,” he says. It became much more than that. In addition to working on his English, Joel made friends and developed new interests. He got involved with – and remains active in -- the We Run This City youth running program. Partly through some of the STEM activities at the Club, he discovered that science “is my favorite subject. I know lots of things about science. It interests me.” Joel is also president of the Torch Club, a leadership group at Boys & Girls Clubs. “It has taught me responsibility,” he says. “I can give back to the community.”

‘Because of the Club, I started believing in myself’ Zariyah speaks with a calmness that belies her age. At 14, the Akron teen has already faced more hardship than many her age. She now lives with her aunt after navigating a difficult home life. At school, kids made fun of her clothes and her shoes. Everywhere she turned there was turmoil. “It made me feel angry and unwanted,” she says. It prompted her to lash out and behave poorly. “People only saw the anger,” she says, “not the hurt behind it.” That started to change when Zariyah joined the Boys & Girls Club. There, she learned how to express her emotions without the anger she has harbored for most of her life. She made friends. She found caring adult mentors who listened and helped guide her through tough situations. It didn’t happen overnight. But Zariyah changed. “Because of the Club, I started believing in myself,” she says. Club Director Kapree Hullum says Zariyah “has come a long, long way.” Today, Zariyah is a mainstay at the LeBron James Club in Akron, where she is a consistent attendee and president of the Keystone Club, a leadership and community service group. She loves being part of the Club girls’ discussion group focusing on appropriate vs. inappropriate behavior. Because of your support, young people like Zariyah find more than a place to go after school. They find caring mentors, lasting friendships, and a place where they belong. Zariyah says she now feels joy in simple things – hanging out with friends, playing outdoors and going out to eat. She says the Club put her on the right path. 8

A safe place after school changed everything Memphis and his mother were in a tough spot four years ago. Mom needed to work – sometimes late – in order to cover the bills. She did not have the resources to pay someone to care for her son while she was working. Her options seemed limited. Then opportunity knocked. Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio opened a Club in New London, providing free afterschool programming. Memphis joined – and the family’s situation changed for the better. Today, Memphis, 13, is thriving at his Club and in school, where he is doing well in the classroom and in athletics. He throws the discus and shot put for his middle school track team. “(The Club) is like a second home,” he says. “Everyone here knows me really well. I like it.” Club Director Wanda McKenzie says Memphis is a positive force. “He is very kind, and he is resilient,” she says. “He’s a helper at our Club, and he’s usually the last one to leave. He says the same thing when he leaves: ‘Good night, Miss Wanda, thank you.’” Your support helps working families while giving young people like Memphis the opportunity to learn, build friendships, and thrive. Memphis, who plays baseball in the summer, doesn’t need a nudge from his mom to go to the Club. “This,” he says, “is where I want to be.” 11
