A degree in pyschology prepares you for a broad array of potential careers.
Your career might be classified clearly as psychology, but your knowledge of psychology and skill in creating and understanding psychological research can also prepare you for careers in areas such as human resources, marketing or others.
Depending on your focus and whether you choose to pursue graduate study, you may work in private practice, schools, hospitals, corporations or other venues.

The Department of Psychology offers many opportunities to go beyond the classroom.
For instance, our faculty research a vast array of topics, including those related to aging, abnormal thinking and behvaior, lanaguage, child and adolescent functioning, and the workplace, and many students collaborate with them to produce new knowledge.
Additionally, you can get involved in four active student organizations, learning from engaging speakers and participating in club activities.
The Department is growing in internship opportunities, including a regular partnership with a local hospital system.
