History program at CSU
offers you the opportunity to work closely with faculty that have areas of expertise in U.S., European, Asian, African, Middle Eastern, and Latin American history.

There
are many opportunities available to History students at CSU.
Students may do internships with Cleveland-area museums, archives or historical sites. Recent History students have performed internships at Western Reserve Historical Society, First Ladies and James A. Garfield National Historic Sites, Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, Maltz Museum and Shaker Historical Society among others.
Students may engage with the Center for Public History + Digital Humanities on public and digital history projects like Cleveland Historical and Green Book Cleveland. Through contributing to such projects, students develop skills in research, oral history, collaboration and writing for public audiences.
The CSU History Department also offers a History Club, in which students can engage with faculty and fellow students on topics of historical interest. There are periodic department events, guest lectures and our annual History awards event where top students are recognized and may receive partial scholarships toward their ongoing educational expenses. opportunities
