THRIVE AT CLEVELAND STATE

Over 500 veterans representing all six branches of the Armed Forces—1/3 of which are female veterans— proudly consider Cleveland State University their academic home. In addition to CSU’s 175+ academic programs across eight colleges, we offer a diverse range of veteran-focused benefits. As a dedicated participant in the VA Principles of Excellence Program , we follow a set of guidelines that ensures the seamless handling of student-veteran issues. We also embrace the 8 Keys to Veterans’ Success , a best practices initiative to support the educational success of veteran students. CSU provides an inclusive and supportive academic journey where veterans truly thrive.

When I have been called to active duty, my professors, OIE and advisors made sure I was able to complete my courses and adjust while being away and then returning. The University’s commitment to supporting military-affiliated students contributes to a positive and inclusive experience for those transitioning from military service to academic life regardless of where the service member is in that process.
