WHAT WILL BE YOUR CSU

From creating integrated degrees for impactful, relevant professions to reimagining our core curriculum around inquiry and student reflection, CSU is continuously evolving to meet student needs. Like yours, our story is far from finished.

“Every semester, I gained something different, and it changed my interest.”

Katura’s CSU story is one of self-discovery.

“I developed new passions that I did not know I had which led me to declare a second major (International Relations) and pursue a different post-graduate path than I had in mind when I started at CSU.”

Katura dared to change course. Now she’s pursuing her Master of Public Administration at CSU, combining her interests into one career path. “It still is a little scary, but I'm also realizing that I'm in the place I'm supposed to be and that things happen for a reason.”

CAREER DEVELOPMENT AND EXPLORATION

"I have been an intern with the Division of Hospitality Services [at CSU] for three years now. Career Development and Exploration offered a professional development course that I feel has greatly improved my work! It has helped me build soft skills, build and refine my resume, connect with employers and so much more. Their workshops for preparing to attend graduate school have been a lifesaver in reducing my stress surrounding the application process."

ACADEMIC SUPPORT CENTER (ASC)

"ASC has had a very positive impact on my academic and overall student life. The ability to access extra forms of assistance for various educational areas can be a lifesaver and has improved my academic performance. I learned about study habits, skills and techniques. CSU fosters an extremely welcoming environment, and everyone is more than happy to assist you."

Thomas

Psychology major, Class of 2025

"Graduation Success Coaching has been especially helpful to me during my collegiate career. They challenged my thoughts, assisted me with any questions and provided me with resources that helped me obtain my books, employment and a safe space to talk. I have been lucky to have such great coaches that wanted to see me get to graduation."

Brianna

Criminology and Africana Studies double major, Class of 2024

“At Cleveland State, I had the ability to work part time here at Rockwell as a co-op while I was still in school. It helped me see the value of what I was doing in classes and put that to practice in the field. That's something I think a lot of other colleges don't have the opportunity to do.”

Caleb first met his current employer at a CSU co-op and career fair, which led to a six-month co-op placement. He was treated like a full-time engineer from day one. By the end of his rotation, he was offered a permanent position— before he had graduated. “I knew I had found what I liked. I look forward to going to work in the morning and see value in the work I'm doing.”
