2015
Tate Shows his first Tamworth and wins Champion Tamworth Barrow at the Indiana State Fair. Thus, the Tams Can® mindset begins.
2018
Tate purchases Tammy who dominates the IJSC Circuit and becomes the first Tamworth to break the Top 5 at a jackpot. Tammy ends her career with being the first ever Tamworth to be named Grand Overall Gilt at a County Fair.
2019 TSC Showpigs Tams Can® is founded. Tammy has her first litter which produced Fury, 4th Overall Barrow at Springfield, and Rosie.
2020
Rosie has her first litter that produces the mother of Hardwood, That Much Better, and numerous champions. Fury sires four of the Top Five Tamworth Barrows at the Exposition.
2021 Fury is named Tamworth Man of the Year by Pig Planet.
2022 Lucy wins Champion Tamworth Gilt at Arizona National and sets a world record, selling for $10,000 to Riverview Farms.
2023
TSC Showpigs Tams Can® herd expands to 15 Tamworth sows.
2024
Tams Can® Strategies launches. The herd expands to nearly 30 Tamworth females and Trademark becomes the new herd boar. Over 50 champions are named at various shows across the nation. New barn addition in the works.
2025
Tams Can® Sires is founded in the #Tamworth CapitalOfTheWorld, Albany, Indiana.

We kicked off the year with over 10 Tamworth boars on feed - only the elite stayed. TOTAL WAR is one of the two that made the cut. The Tamworth breed has made big strides, but it’s still hungry for a boar that brings true power and center. Total War is the densest, deepestsided Tamworth boar we’ve seen in recent years, yet he maintains the power, bone, flexibility, and neck extension needed to compete and win. When you need CENTER, TOTAL WAR is the answer. And let’s not forget: Sow power matters. His dam and her littermates dominated every Tamworth ring in 2024, only rivaled by the littermates of Dynasty, Total War’s sire.

Thank you to the Beck family for naming this guy! Given the legacy Tina and this sow line has at Beck’s, we thought it was only fitting to allow them the honor of naming this boar! We started the year off with 10+ Tamworth boars on feed with the plan of keeping only those that move the breed forward. WHISKEY is one of two boars that does exactly that. He is big footed, extended in his front 1/3 with the power, mass, and running gears to match! Clyde Shaffer Sr., Tate’s grandfather, has always had the firm belief that sow power is what makes or breaks a firm. This ideal led to Tate’s Grandpa being the top hog man in the country for decades. TSC Showpigs is committed to the same ideal. To this end, we have accumulated nearly 30 Tamworth females that each are elite in their own right. We highlight our sows so you may purchase with confidence when bidding on TSC Tamworths.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN.
Our journey began in 2018 with Tate at the helm, and a singular Tamworth sow named Tammy, the Champion Tamworth Gilt and Grand Overall Gilt at the Delaware County Fair. Tammy became the cornerstone of our lineage. From her first litter emerged Fury, the 2021 Tamworth Man of the Year, and another standout— the 4th Overall Tamworth Barrow at the Team Purebred National Show. Her subsequent genetic line graced us with the Dam of Hardwood and the $19,000 World Record Setting Tamworth Boar, “That Much Better”.
