FOCUSED ON THE FUTURE BULL SALE

FRIDAY | OCTOBER 24, 2025

6:00 PM | BILLINGS, MISSOURI

WELCOME all

The 2025 Focused on the Future Bull Sale is finally here! Our sincerest thanks go to all who have taken the time to view this sale book. We also want to say a big thank you to those who have called, texted, and/or inquired about the bulls in any way. This is a set of bulls we are humbled and proud to showcase for your appraisal. The beef business is experiencing new heights, and we are thankful that cattlemen and women are being rewarded for their efforts. We are as confident in this set of bulls as any set we’ve ever assembled, and we are confident that there are bulls that can work in all sectors of this business.

This set of bulls is a direct reflection of our past customers’ demands combined with the same commitment to function and quality you can expect from T Bar S. This is, without question, the most consistent set of bulls we have ever offered. It’s a direct result of a more stringent culling process. You are seeing the best 50% of our bull crop from both spring and fall calving herds.

The fall yearlings have been developed again by our good friends at Round Prairie Feeders. They have been given a high-forage diet with no corn to ensure these cattle can convert what the good Lord has given them. The age-advantage bulls spent the summer on grass and a protein tub. They are in hard breeding shape and are ready to service a larger number of cows and can handle the rigors of the harshest environments.

As usual, all the bulls selling have been sire and dam verified, genomically enhanced numerical values, and a negative BVD test. The aged bulls are Trich tested. We stand behind this set of cattle 100%, and they sell with a one-year breeding guarantee.

In conclusion, we are thankful for your time and for reaching out with questions. We love the cattle business and the people we get to work with every day. Please don’t hesitate to come see the bulls or to reach out with questions. We look forward to spending time with you and hearing about your operation. We are committed to providing the best possible customer service.

Thank you from the entire Vehige family!

Simply put, there are no free passes.

GENETIC SELECTION TOOLS

GENOMIC ENHANCED EPDs —

Purchasing bulls with genomic-enhanced expected progeny differences (GE-EPDs) allows commercial producers to make selection decisions with less risk due to an increase in the accuracy of a non-parent animal’s EPDs. The addition of genomic data to an EPD is comparable to adding another source of information, like progeny or pedigree records. Specifically on lowly heritable traits, such as reproductive traits, genomic data has the potential to greatly increase the accuracy of an EPD prediction and can be demonstrated.

ACROSS BREED COMPARISON —

Because AGA breeders have chosen to collaborate with members of other North American breed associations to pool their pedigree, performance, and genomic data for a multibreed NCE, most Gelbvieh and Balancer® animals’ EPDs can be directly comparable with other animals in the registries of other partner breed associations within the IGS group. Gelbvieh and Balancer EPDs that are excluded from direct

LOT NUMBER SIRE

1 X

comparison included: heifer pregnancy, 30-month pregnancy and dry matter intake. The $Cow, efficiency profit index and FPI™ indices are unique to the AGA and are not comparable across breeds.

CALVING EASE EPDs —

AGA now allows for the use of data from contemporary groups with no variation. This change resulted in thousands of calving scores and birth weights becoming available for genetic prediction in the BOLT-powered EPDs, reducing bias and providing you with calving ease direct (CED) and calving ease maternal (CEM) EPDs with even more power to predict the difference in ease of calving in heifers.

CARCASS EPDs —

A true multi-trait evaluation with all carcass and ultrasound traits plus weaning weight and post-weaning gain is used. This compared to the old evaluation where carcass EPDs were simply an index of the carcass trait and its corresponding ultrasound trait leads to a slight increase in accuracy for carcass EPDS.

T BAR S STELLAR 2020M

REGISTRY INFORMATION HORNED/POLLED STATUS CERTIFIED GE-EPDS WEIGHTS

CED CALVING EASE DIRECT — Percent of unassisted births of a bull’s calves when he is used on heifers. A higher number is favorable, meaning better calving ease.

BW BIRTH WEIGHT — Predicts the difference, in pounds, for birth weight of the calf.

WW WEANING WEIGHT — Predicts the difference, in pounds, for weaning weight (adjusted to age of dam and a standard 205 days of age). This is an indicator of growth from birth to weaning.

YW YEARLING WEIGHT — Predicts the expected difference, in pounds, for yearling weight (adjusted to a standard 365 days of age). This is an indicator of growth from birth to yearling.

MILK MILK — The genetic ability of a sire’s daughters to produce milk expressed in pounds of weaning weight.

DOC

DOCILITY — Reported as a percentage, with higher numbers indicating a higher percent of offspring receiving a disposition score of 1 (docile).

YG YIELD GRADE — Differences in yield grade score, which is a predictor of percent retail product. Smaller values suggest that progeny will have a better lean to fat ratio.

CREA RIBEYE AREA — Differences in ribeye area in inches between the 12th and 13th rib. Greater ribeye areas are preferable.

MARB MARBLING — Predicts the differences in the degree of marbling within the ribeye as expressed in marbling score units. Greater marbling numbers are preferable and are an indicator of higher carcass quality grades.

FPI FEEDER PROFIT INDEX — An economic selection index designed to aid producers in selecting sires whose progeny will perform in the feedlot and are sold on a grade and yield standpoint.

A FEW YEARS AGO, I REACHED OUT TO THEM IN SEARCH OF A GELBVIEH BULL AND SOME MORE COWS TO ADD TO MY GROWING HERD. I HAD JUST STARTED TO DEVELOP MY OWN GELBVIEH PROGRAM AND WANTED TO EXPAND. I WAS IMPRESSED FROM THE MOMENT I MET THEM. NOT ONLY DID THEY WELCOME ME INTO THEIR OWN HOME, THEY SAT DOWN AND DISCUSSED EVERY TYPE OF GENETICS THAT THEY HAD TO HELP ME MAKE MY FINAL DECISION ON WHAT I WAS TRULY LOOKING FOR TO BUILD MY BUSINESS. OVER THE YEARS, WE HAVE BUILT A GREAT FRIENDSHIP. THEY TRAVELED OVER THREE STATES AWAY TO VISIT WITH ME AND TO COME OBSERVE MY GELBVIEH CATTLE AND FARM. THEY ARE STEADILY ENCOURAGING ME TO THIS DAY TO KEEP PURSUING MY DREAMS AND PASSIONS IN THIS BUSINESS. IN MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION, THEY ARE THE BEST GELBVIEH AND BALANCER BREEDER IN THE COUNTRY. Since Angus were created with a red gene considered as a recessive allele, it carries over to other cattle when mated to that specific animal holding the red recessive trait. This recessive gene still means that animal can be a classified as a purebred if not crossed with any other outside breed. They are technically in American Angus, but since RAAA is an open herd book, they allow producers to register those animals and can still be classified as purebred Red Angus.

Our bulls are out of registered Angus cows and sired by a Red Angus bull. Their genetic makeup can be explained by the table on the right. These bulls will sire predominately black calves, with a 25% chance of red calves when mated to red cows.
