The dosage of Amlodipine Besylate tablets is given below: Swallow Amlodipine tablet whole with a full glass of water. Take your medicine at about the same time each day, either morning or evening. Taking Amlodipine at the same time each day will have the best effect. Generic Amlodipine Besylate tablets can be taken with or without food. For both hypertension and angina, the recommended initial dose is 5 mg Generic Amlodipine once daily which may be increased to a maximum dose of 10 mg depending on the individual patient's response. Small, fragile, or elderly patients, or patients with hepatic insufficiency may be started on 2.5 mg once daily.
