CLC recently received an historic $6 million gift to expand scholarships and provide additional support to help students stay on track and complete their goals. And because CLC is a community college, your tuition is significantly lower than most Illinois public universities, often saving you thousands on the same transferable credits.

Start at CLC with free Adult Ed and ESL courses
Luisa Campo Londono started English as a Second Language (ESL) classes on Saturdays and quickly enrolled in healthcare for-credit classes through a bridge program. She completed her GED, works as a rehab aide and soon starts her clinicals at a local hospital to become a nurse.

Through a unique partnership with the Gurnee Police Department, one of the first formal police apprenticeship programs of its kind in the country, seven CLC students were hired as full-time, paid apprentices while completing their criminal justice degree, with tuition covered.
Created to help address the shortage of qualified police officers, this competitive program builds a direct pathway from college to the police academy, preparing the next generation of local law enforcement leaders.
