• The Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) scholarships are available for students pursuing careers in clean energy and environmental fields.

• The Pipeline for the Advancement of the Healthcare Workforce Program (PATH) grant is designed to assist students interested in medical and healthcare careers.

• Future Welding & Fabrication Technology students can apply for the Community Project Advanced Technologies Scholarship and get support for tuition, fees, and/or living expenses.

Adult Ed and ESL classes at no cost More than just offering college courses, CLC is a resource for everyone in the community. Adults looking to complete their high school education can join free classes that lead to an Illinois high school diploma. For those looking to strengthen their English language skills, the college also offers free English as a Second Language programs. These opportunities are designed to empower learners at every stage of life — all are welcome!

Easy transfer options to four-year colleges CLC makes transferring to a four-year college simple. Taking classes at CLC’s Southlake Campus in Vernon Hills, Lakeshore Campus in Waukegan and Grayslake Campus is a convenient way to earn your general education credits for a fraction of the cost of four-year universities. CLC unveils vision for the future CLC is reimagining what it can do for Lake County beyond just college with its 2030 Strategic Plan launched at the State of the College in September.

Urban Farm Center takes root in Waukegan With construction now sprouting at the Lakeshore Campus in Waukegan, the Urban Farm Center marked a milestone with a ceremonial beam signing, symbolizing community and a bold future for local food systems.

The 24,000-square-foot facility will support all aspects of the local food system from farm to table and is expected to be completed fall 2026.

On-campus job opens door to internship Honors Scholar Estefanni Caballero’s time as a paid student worker in CLC’s public relations and marketing department set her up for success after graduation. Attending Lake Forest College on a full-ride scholarship, Caballero interned with the marketing department at Fischer Paper Products in Antioch and built upon skills she learned at CLC.
