An Award recognises the achievements of our students and serves to encourage them to continue to excel. Awards are also one way of celebrating endeavour and achievement with the entire community both present and future. An award at Catholic Ladies’ College is recognition of a year’s worth of hard work, dedication, endeavour and enlightenment. The names of those students who grace this booklet are not just lists but rather active examples to all within this Community – they are true and transparent role models of our College motto, ‘Knowledge and Virtue’. It is not the amount of knowledge that we celebrate but rather the virtue with which it is used – these students follow others who have been shining custodians of this philosophy, so ingrained within the Sisters of Charity. This award should truly be recognised as a starting point rather than an end; in congratulating each student on their personal level of achievement we are also looking forward to witnessing the heights they will reach in future years.
