The Electric Vehicle Waystation is intended to be a building for people charging their electric vehicles to pass the time in many ways, from spaces to relax and spaces to burn some energy. The inspiration for the form was lighting bolts and creating an abstract building from it.

The front façade, displayed in the middle, of the building has wood running vertically to create shade on the interior of the building but still allow for light to peer through. The opposite side, displayed below, has many windows facing the nearby field and wooded area to take their mind off the road and interact with nature.

The parking lot for the electric vehicles has solar powered coverings that helps power the chargers and the building itself. There is also two exterior patios one for the restaurant space and the other for general use. Other spaces in the building include convenience store, workout center, office and breakroom for the workers, and an information desk at the center of the space.

S O L A R S H O W C A S E

The Solar Showcase is intended to display different models of solar panels amid the creation of nearby park spaces.

The building has a three layers to its window walls to create interesting shadows and depth in the façade of the building.

The first level is the main showcase for the different models of the solar panels. This level also has one office for the sale of the products.

The third level is for the display of the solar panels in an exterior environment. It also can be used to be a community space for different parties or presenting of new solar models.

The second level is the main office area for the inhabitants of the building. There are workspaces for designers to work on projects for clients and conference rooms for presentations.

The roof level has solar panels for the buildings power, further putting emphasis on the building’s purpose and effectiveness of the products within.
