ENTERPRISE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

For those with an interest in a career in business, and who would prefer a more ‘hands-on’, vocational approach to learning, this two-year course consisting of four units is equivalent to one A Level. The four units will give you an introduction to, and understanding of, the business environment, entrepreneurs, management of business and personal finances, marketing and marketing campaigns and social enterprise – all fundamental to the success of business organisations.

The core units studied are:

· Developing a Marketing Campaign

· Personal and Business Finance

· Social Enterprise

Method of assessment

Two of the four units are internally assessed where students will complete coursework that is marked and moderated internally. The other two are externally assessed units, where students will be given a set exam paper or synoptic assessment set and assessed by the exam board.
