The Russell Burns Building Clayco and LJC transformed the 230,000-square-foot facility in Berkeley, Missouri, originally built by Clayco in 2012, into a cuttingedge workspace prioritizing sustainability and employee well-being. Named the Russell Burns Building, it became home to more than 1,000 Clayco enterprise employees who moved in this year.

From Classroom to Community Center LJC transformed the shuttered Robert Emmet Public School in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood into the 150,000-square-foot Aspire Center for Workforce Innovation. Constructed by Blinderman, the adaptive-reuse project opened on Juneteenth 2025 and serves as a hub for workforce training, education, healthcare support, and economic development, anchoring new opportunities in a historically underinvested community.

Humboldt Park Passive Living A groundbreaking was held for Humboldt Park Passive Living, Chicago’s largest affordable housing development built to Passive House standards. Designed by LJC and developed by 548 Capital with GMA serving as the builder, this four-story, all-electric building will provide 60 affordable apartments and 7,700 square feet of ground-floor retail, including a grocery store and café, combining sustainability with community-focused design.

Keeping Communities Supplied Clayco completed a 1.1 million-square-foot distribution center for Dollar General in Salem, Oregon. Developed by Scannell and designed by LJC, this facility features cold storage, freezer space, truck maintenance facilities, and on-site dispatch, expanding the retailer’s ability to serve communities across the region. This marks Clayco’s eighth project with Dollar General.

Galaxy Digital Helios This 133MW installation represents the initial phase of the development, marking the beginning of a much larger, gigawatt-scale build-out planned for Galaxy’s Helios data center campus. This large-scale project demonstrates the full capabilities of Clayco’s integrated enterprise model, with a scope of services including more than 100 integrated power assemblies and more than 90 chillers with associated piping, installation and use of an on-site batch plant to support massive slab and foundation upgrades, and steel support for structural.

Creating Opportunities on Chicago’s West Side CRG, Related Midwest, and 548 Development recently broke ground on The Cubes at Roosevelt & Kostner, a 363,520-square-foot, two-building industrial campus transforming a long-vacant site in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood. General contractor DSI, in partnership with GMA Construction Group, is leading construction, with design by LJC and Ware Malcomb. Project MidwayUSA Built by Coil Construction, the new MidwayUSA corporate headquarters in Columbia, MO features a load-bearing, thin-brick tilt-up design. Instead of a traditional facade, Concrete Strategies poured concrete into panels that already had thin bricks cast into the exterior. This creates a durable, load-bearing wall with a finished look, eliminating the need for a separate bricklaying step.
Mass Concrete Pour Concrete Strategies completed a 1,300-yard mass concrete pour for a new lime kiln on the Mississippi line in Bonne Terre, Missouri, in partnership with Robinson Construction. The team averaged 180 yards per hour, demonstrating precision, planning, and disciplined execution on a technically demanding operation.

Concourse D – O’Hare Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) with Ross Barney Architects, JGMA, and Arup, the AECOM Hunt Clayco Bowa joint venture has broken ground on Concourse D at Chicago O’Hare International Airport — the first new concourse in more than 30 years. Featuring 19 new gates and modern passenger amenities, the project is a major component of the city’s multi-billion-dollar ORDNext program to transform one of the world’s busiest airports.
