To Mr. Rob Orr and the rest of the LCRA team, We are pleased to submit our proposal for the Purchase and Develop 4800 Goodfellow Boulevard RFP. Our respondent team consists of CRG and Kane Development, along with Clayco, Lamar Johnson Collaborative, and Concrete Strategies. Collectively, we have significant work experience in the region and believe that this location is perfect for our continued committed focus implementing positive change in this area and the surrounding communities.

Kane Development, led by Joshua Randall, is our diverse developer partner and will supplement our build team with construction management services. We are excited to partner with Kane and look forward to the continued mentorship and capacity building that will take place over the life of this project and beyond.

To illustrate our overall vision for this parcel and the surrounding area, we have included a concept master plan that shows the potential for incredible impact for our city in addition to the specific parcel referenced in this RFP. Our team has already been working to implement this vision and we currently have site control over an adjacent property. This land assemblage provides for a more comprehensive and impactful redevelopment of this area as shown.

For the parcel references in this RFP, we are proposing to construct a new build to suit headquarters site for Concrete Strategies and will set aside portions of this site for future retail. We are also including a Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI) Training Center that will include working space to train laborers, concrete finishers, ironworkers, carpenters along with HVAC and Electrical workers. This space will further enhance our focus on improving our regional workforce as well as provide a pathway to high paying jobs for the residents in this community.

Safety is always our first priority and at the forefront of everything we do, we implement a zero-injury culture on all projects. Our focus is not only on our working site conditions and our workforce, but also on the people in the surrounding community that will move around adjacent to the site during construction. Every measure is taken throughout construction to minimize impact to the surrounding community.

These include overseeing transformative airport improvements at St. Louis Lambert International and Seattle-Tacoma International, spearheading vital infrastructure upgrades for the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and leading critical capital improvement initiatives for both St. Louis Public Schools and the Houston Independent School District.

ROLE: Clayco will manage the entire design and construction process. Clayco’s Design-Build Team will provide site development, building planning & design, preconstruction and construction services for the project. Our expertise is managing a complex design-build process to maximize the performance of the various team members and to provide a clear and understandable process. Clayco will lead a process that is integrated, collaborative, organized, streamlined and driven to achieve highest value solutions.

Lamar Johnson Collaborative—in collaboration with our design consultants—will provide design team leadership, architecture design, interior design and landscape design.

They will plan, organize and manage design meetings, providing meeting minutes to all team members through design development in order to document and confirm decisions throughout the design process. LJC will be responsible for the delivery of all design document packages for review and approval through the design development phase.

Concrete Strategies and CCDI Training Center The Concrete Strategies Training Center will include working space to train laborers, concrete finishers, ironworkers, carpenter and other trades related to concrete, formwork and reinforcing steel workers. The Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI) brings diversity to the Design and Construction industry by mentoring and exposing minority/underrepresented and under employed men and women to career development in construction. This new training center will provide opportunity to reach more people and bring more jobs to the St. Louis region and core trades.

CCDI stands for Construction Career Development Initiative. CCDI is a 501(c) (3) non-for-profit which was founded by Clayco in 2015 in response to the aftermath in Ferguson, Missouri to provide a program for selected young adults in North County to help them overcome barriers to success, pair them in mentorships, offer financial support and create opportunities for job placement in the construction industry. Clayco’s vision with CCDI is to support workforce diversity and bridge the gap in workforce development and create scholarship opportunities. Now, CCDI has grown Beyond the Walls of Clayco to include many partnerships in the St. Louis community with school districts, workforce development programs, general contractors and subcontractors. Our goal is to connect the vast ecosystem of industry and educational resources and to promote collectively working together in #BuildingTheFoundationForChange for our next generation of leaders in the construction industry.

Training Center To Provide Workforce Development Opportunities This training center would bring numerous workforce development opportunities to support surrounding public education school districts to meet MSIP 6 & 7 (Missouri School Improvement Plan) goals like work-based learning opportunities and earning stackable US DOL IRC’s (Industry Recognized Credentials) which help these school districts to stay accredited by the Missouri Department of Education and Secondary Education (DESE) in their annual APR’s (Annual Performance Review).

NorthPark BUSINESS PARK

NorthPark is the only urban redevelopment project in the country located between the intersection of two major highways, an international airport and a renowned university.

LOCATION BERKELEY, MISSOURI SIZE 550 ACRES

NorthPark is a 550 acre premier business park hosting more than five million square feet of dramatic buildings designed to complement the surrounding environment. Currently, NorthPark includes more than 1 million square feet of development, with eleven separate buildings that have been constructed to date. NorthPark is located in an Opportunity Zone and the investments made in the business park have made a positive economic impact in the surrounding community.

Clayco provided design-build services for the projects located in NorthPark including: Express Scripts I + II & Technology and Innovation Center, SKF North American Headquarters and Manufacturing Plant, Schnucks Markets Cold Storage facility, Hilton Garden Inn and Vatterott College. Hotels, restaurants, banks, hospitals, regional malls, specialty shops, sports and recreational activities, entertainment venues, daycare services, and other amenities are only minutes away, making it a prime location for companies looking to relocate or build a new facility.

Express Scripts, Inc., one of the largest pharmacy benefit management companies in North America, is located in the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) Research Park. In 2003, Clayco started a development process that has evolved into five buildings and 1.3 million square-foot corporate headquarters campus for Express Scripts, Inc. in St. Louis.

Clayco built a 310,986 square-foot facility for SKF in NorthPark in 2018 and brought a $34.2 million investment to the community. The facility contains offices, distribution, manufacturing and assembly operations for SKF’s Lubrication business unit. Clayco is currently constructing a 120,000 square-foot expansion to the existing facility.

Schnucks Markets Inc., one of the largest private companies in the St. Louis region, also selected Clayco to design-build its new distribution center in North St. Louis County in 2018.

The 1,000,000-square-foot distribution facility services 100 stores in five states.

NorthPark is now a highly sought-after real estate location for numerous businesses ranging from office, and industrial to residential. Clayco owns the land and will facilitate the developments until NorthPark is full. The focus will be to provide the correct mix and relationships of project types and uses.

Clayco recently announced that our St. Louis regional offices will all come together in Berkeley Missouri in a newly recycled and renovated facility. Over the next five years Clayco expects to grow the company between 10 and 15% in annual revenue, and we are currently hiring at a very rapid pace. The new facility will house about 1100 team members and we expect to be fully occupied over the next five years. It shows a tremendous commitment to the St. Louis region and allows us to focus on being a loud vocal advocate for positive regional change in the entire community.

The site concept is to integrate the new laboratory building with this unique site and its natural beauty, sunset views, and dramatic topography. The building program is strategically organized to provide operational efficiency and enhance cooperation. Unique collaborative spaces both inside and outside provide opportunities for innovation. Connecting nature, program, and people will enhance employee’s experience and the company’s productivity. The building design is fundamentally based on the Continuous Lab Concept, where the linear lab zone runs uninterrupted, parallel to a continuous office zone, separated by a generous corridor serving both lab and office.

This approach allows maximum flexibility for the labs to change size over time. LJC has developed a workplace strategy that optimizes space which will manifest in centralized office supplies and storage, a dining facility on the first floor and a centralized cafe on all other floors. An observation study was completed on all labs, office and amenity spaces to identify improvement that supports the nature of work.

The Pilot Plant is a production facility that will be used for the first run of the innovative products that are being developed in the R&D Lab.

The original building of St. Luke’s Hospital on Delmar Boulevard is the second oldest general hospital building in St. Louis. St. Luke’s Hospital held an important place in history as a symbol of the conversion of hospitals from places for the medically indigent into training grounds for healthcare professionals and eventually into places where medicine was practiced, research conducted and advancements made.

Between 1904 and its closing as Connect Care due to bankruptcy in 2013, 10 significant additions, wings, new buildings and even three more floors were added to its flagship structure, resulting in a sprawling complex that covers six+ acres in concrete, stone and brick.

These facilities represent a continuous line of social and public health history in the St. Louis community. The Delmar Divine will continue this important history, symbolically and practically.

The former hospital campus has been reinvented as a hub for social innovation and enterprise. A myriad of nonprofits, foundations and community support organizations, whose collective purpose is to improve outcomes in the nonprofit sector, have begun co-locate and combine resources to promote innovation and exceptional program delivery since the project’s completion.

Its expansive space also allows capacity for a parallel economic development initiative that includes affordable housing for young and diverse career professionals, along with retail opportunities that will provide convenience and a welcoming vibe. Clayco designed and built a new facility for fast-growing crop improvement company Benson Hill Biosystems. Benson Hill occupies the majority of the $52 million dollar, 160,000-square-foot facility on the campus of the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

This project utilized the full design-build and self-perform concrete resources of Clayco, Lamar Johnson Collaborative and Concrete Strategies. The 4-story tilt-up design included curtainwall and additional exterior architectural features.

REDEVELOPMENT NARRATIVE 5. A narrative of the proposed Redevelopment highlighting how it meets the redevelopment goals and identifying the type of project Respondent’s proposed development plan for the Property together with adjacent parcels, is depicted on the site plan entitled the “Mark Twain I-70 Industrial/Commercial/Retail Master Plan” in Section 5 Conceptual Plans. This plan provides for future retail development, new headquarters for Concrete Strategies, LLC to locate its Headquarters and Operations, and a trades and jobs training center to be operated by CCDI. In order to determine the feasibility of this plan, the Respondent will first need to get the Property under contract with sufficient time to not only do normal due diligence, but financial feasibility and Development Plan Refinement, including obtaining the required City approvals.

During that time, the Respondent will have the ability to present proformas and project specific economics to the City and its representatives so the City can underwrite the Development and the economic development assistance it anticipates will be needed.

The Respondent fully understands the City’s desire to see some opportunity for retail at this location and hopes the City will, at the same time, understand the need for other types of development at this Site to make it feasible. We believe this Development is the best opportunity the City has to see a platform for retail based on the demographics of the area, supported by the need for Clayco Subsidiary to grow its footprint in the City of St. Louis.

It is a challenge to determine all the stated RFP parameters at this early stage, ahead of the ability to control the Property with a right to purchase. This will require a significant investment of time, energy, and money. Our team will continue to promote the development of retail as shown in our proposed site plan. We plan to work with the city to promote the best possible outcome for retail and we believe our plan does meet many of the goals in phase one and will strive to meet all of the goals moving forward. Our plan for a contract to purchase is a strong feasible step for improvement in this part of our city.

Our plan includes a build to suit lease at market rate for Clayco subsidiary Concrete Strategies (CSI) and a Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI) trades training center. The project will include a warehouse/office and a truck maintenance facility and a mobile mixing concrete operation. The Training Center will include working space to train laborers, concrete finishers, ironworkers, carpenters and other trades related to concrete, formwork and reinforcing steel workers. At a later date TBD the program will include HVAC and Electrical workers.

The frontage of the location will be planned to retail and the partnership will diligently pursuit neighborhood beneficial retail tenants.

INTRODUCE AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR A GROWING POPULATION: Address the need for new housing by introducing affordable residential options, attracting a diverse population to contribute to the community’s growth.

ENHANCE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOODS WITH NEW RETAIL AND SERVICES: Elevate neighboring areas by introducing value through new retail destinations and essential services, enhancing the overall quality of life for residents.

FOSTER CONNECTIVITY WITHIN THE MASTERPLAN AREA: Strengthen the fabric of the masterplan community by creating new collective spaces and activating central green areas, keeping the well-being of the community in focus. Foster practical connections for residents to enhance daily living.

JOB CREATION 6. An estimate of proposed job creation resulting from the Redevelopment Concrete Strategies will have over 30 full-time employees in this proposed location. The training center will include working space to train Laborers, Concrete finishers, ironworkers, Carpenter and other trades related to concrete, framing and steel erection workers.

Currently 85 students from local St. Louis high schools go through the CCDI program. CCDI assists 10-15 students in full-time employment. CCDI facilitates college and career fairs, jobsite tours, and industry trade exposure to over 1,000 people annually.

ATTRACT MANUFACTURING STARTUPS TO EXISTING INDUSTRIAL AREA - INNOVATION Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority DISTRICT Encourage the growth of medium to large manufacturing startups by re-purposing and utilizing existing warehouse and industrial areas. Provide a practical space for innovation and development.

3.0 Existing Conditions

The CCDI program continues to grow each year and projects over 500 people going through the CCDI program in the next 5 years. Creating opportunity for trade careers in St. Louis.

The Property benefits from significant visibility from both Interstate 70 to the north and Goodfellow Boulevard to the west. It is generally flat, but slopes upward slightly to the north and is elevated from

Multiple iterations of the operating pro-forma for the Project are being considered, taking into account estimates for unknown variables such an environmental remediation, civil engineering, and other cost categories.The Project financing is subject to certain economic development financing incentives to be applied for through the City and State. Other than frontage retail planned, the Project is intended to be a turn-key build-to-suit project.

SOURCES AND USES STATEMENT 8. A list of sources and uses of funds to be used in the Redevelopment, including the proposed purchase price or lease rate.

Other than frontage retail planned, the Project is intended to be a turn-key build-to-suit project to be leased for its end-users, Concrete Strategies, LLC and CCDI. Sources for financing will include Respondent’s equity investment, commercial financing, and certain economic development incentives to be applied for with the City and State.

The joint venture is primarily supported by Clayco, CRG and Kane Development LLC. The primary source of capital for the redevelopment will be a combination Clayco, its ownership group and/or one or more of the investment funds managed

by Clayco’s real estate development arm, CRG. As the planned end user of the site, the future lease obligation of Clayco’s Concrete Strategies subsidiary will be supported by Clayco’s balance sheet, which had over $60 million in cash and over $100 million in available committed debt capacity as of September 30, 2023. Clayco’s involvement and strength of its balance sheet should enable full capitalization of the project utilizing debt and equity sources from the Company or one of CRG’s multiple investment funds. The overall sources and uses is subject to economic development finance incentives in an amount and format to be determined.

The Purchase Price is $47,000/acre for 16.5 acres, totaling $775,500.

Seven $20,000 grants were distributed to community-based nonprofit organizations dedicated to building awareness and advancing the causes of Black equality and inclusion in the St. Louis and Chicago metro areas during Clayco Rising’s first annual Juneteenth Celebration.

Led by our “BEYOND THESE WALLS” mantra, Clayco has aligned their internal diversity and inclusion initiatives with the various government and community organizations nationwide to solicit their support in removing any barriers to our success in achieving the goals we have for our industry, i.e. making impactful improvements in the diversity of talent employed in the design and construction industry and the diversity of design and construction firms locally and nationwide. Building capacity of our diverse trade community is a core tenant of Clayco’s.

Clayco has built the most comprehensive diversity and inclusion program in the industry – Clayco Rising. It is designed to create meaningful opportunity for our employees, our minority and women-owned business partners and people within the communities we serve. Together, we are breaking through barriers of income, race, sexual orientation and gender. We will rise above to bring positive change within our industry by building a diverse, respectful and safe workplace for all.

We are all about building real, meaningful change from the ground up. Building equitable opportunities, relationships and accountability are what makes this program so successful.

That includes participation in workforce development initiatives, having a fair, inclusive bid solicitation process for all of our partners, minority youth mentorships, our charitable foundation, community engagement and so much more.

CLAYCO CONNECTS Clayco Connects is our relationship-building initiative bringing together the executive leadership of Clayco, its strategic subcontractors, and numerous minority construction firms to engage in long-term knowledge transfer, capacity building and strategic partnerships. Clayco subject matter experts meet regularly with the program’s participants in large and small groups to help these firms expand their business footprint, encourage greater collaboration among primes and other MBE/WBEs, build relationships across the construction

industry, broaden the industry’s diverse leadership pipeline, take on larger roles in the community and participate in workforce development.

The Clayco team has an internal database of over 100 St. Louis-based MBE/WBE firms in our bidding software, Building Connected along with the direct relationships we have established over the years. On this project we will be able to continue to track the level of our joint relationships and the impact our mentorship is having on growing each firm’s capacity to successfully bid, manage, and self-perform larger scopes of work as a 1st-tier prime contractor or strategic 2nd-tier subcontractor.

We also maintain a database of all of our awarded subcontractors’ hiring, retention, and promotion of minorities and women in the trades on our jobsites. This internal data helps inform our project teams during the bid solicitation and bid evaluation process and also enables us to customize our mentorship to the specific areas of support each firm needs to grow their relationships within Clayco and within the industry at large.

CLAYCO CONNECTS THROUGH CONCRETE STRATEGIES AND VENTANA On One Hundred Kingshighway, Delmar Divine, and WUSM Cancer Center Concrete Strategies has continued to build its strategic relationships with several MBE firms including OBAX, Philips Concrete, B&P, and D&K Welding across its Clayco and non-Clayco projects in the St. Louis market.

Most recently on Pfizer and One Hundred Kingshighway Ventana has built strategic relationship with Penn Services and is building their project experience and capacity across the various business units within Clayco.

FIELD FOCUS Clayco’s Field Focus is an enterprise-wide solution to creating a more inclusive job site and workforce development culture that is also psychologically safe by promoting coaching methods and providing support and resources.

Implementation of Field Focus starts with collection of workforce diversity data from our trade partners, both project-specific and corporate-wide, to help them develop their own internal workforce diversity initiative and employ a workforce on our jobsites reflective of the community in which we are building together. It then continues for the duration of a project with:

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT Clayco always strives to be a beneficial contributor of the communities where we work—beneficial in the areas of job growth, education and community enhancement. Some of the organizations in St. Louis include but are not limited to St. Louis Development Corporation, St. Louis Constructions Consumers Council, Construction Forum, Minority Business Development Agency, Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI), National Society of Black Engineers, St. Louis Urban League, Building Union Diversity (BUD), and MOKAN. Clayco has established a long-term mentoring relationship with several disadvantaged firms, assisting them on providing services with quality and professionalism. We commit to work closely with these organizations during the preconstruction phase updating their membership on the project, bid

6 Clayco Rising packaging strategies and any anticipated bid dates. During this phase we host a local pre-bidders conference and subsequently develop a prequalified bidders list for each package and actively engage small and local businesses to encourage them to bid.

The diversity section in our required bid documents will be required to be completed by each bidder listing each diverse contractor’s name, scope of work to be self-performed, proposed value of contract, percentage of total base bid.

OUR INCLUSIVE PROJECT DELIVERY PROCESS OUR COMMITMENT

We intend to conduct a series of informational meetings aligned with the bid schedule to notify the entire St. Louis contracting community and the various assist agencies directly of the upcoming bid opportunity at least thirty (30) days prior to bid due date.

•

The informational meeting invitation will include a link to our streamlined online Contractor Profile Form for any firms not already in our bidding software system, Building Connected to receive bid solicitations.

•

The invitation will also include name and location of the project, the location where plans and specs can be accessed, the bid due date, the items of work being solicited, and contact person for project-specific questions.

•

We will contact the targeted diverse certified firms who have not responded to the informational meeting invite or bid solicitation at least two weeks prior to the bid due date to ensure they are aware of the opportunity and obtain the reason for nonresponse.

•

We will also work closely with the assist agencies during outreach, buyout, and construction to maximize the support available to those needing assistance.

We strive to meet or exceed the prevailing goals in St. Louis city which are 24% MBE and 11% WBE. We propose to continue to work collaboratively with our industry peers with parallel projects and demand to increase MBE/ WBE self-perform capacity while not doing harm.

LAND CLEARANCE FOR REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY GOALS AND MARKET GROWTH The Clayco approach is to tailor bid packages to maximize the number of qualified, diverse bidders. This may involve national, regional, and local bidders for the appropriate packages, but emphasis will first be on local subcontractors.

The bid packages include all LEED and LEAN requirements.

Leveraging the direct relationships of our specialty trade partners and our knowledge of the local diverse contracting community we will be developing a Contracting and Onsite Workforce Diversity Plan by bid package identifying 1st-tier and strategic 2nd-tier diverse firm opportunities.

ACHIEVING RESULTS THROUGH DATA ANALYSIS Clayco maintains a Capacity Data Warehouse (CDW) of key metrics that go beyond measuring the total value of contracts awarded and the total hours worked by minorities and women on-site. This data warehouse was developed and is maintained by Success Metrics, certified small and minority owned firm with expertise in relationship training and data warehousing services. Clayco’s CDW currently includes contracting and workforce data on over 500 subcontractors (both large primes and small, minority and women owned firms) measuring each individual firm’s capacity to successfully bid, manage, and self-perform specific scopes of work and hire, train, retain, and promote minorities and women in their field and office operations.

Success Metrics, LLC, focuses on helping its clients collect and analyze data that informs them of the current state, developing and assisting in the implementation of programs to address any areas below the desired state, then providing data visualization of their progress. The firm leverages its relationships within the minority and contracting community to foster the collection of the internal and external data that helps its clients continuously improve upon its policies, procedures, and programs to achieve maximum results.

CLAYCO NETWORK OF WOMEN (NOW) Clayco NOW’s mission is to increase female leadership in the design, construction and real estate development industry.

We connect, enable, and engage with women and communities across all areas of the industry to develop, impact and transform the culture from the inside out by investing in women.

Our guiding goals are to provide an environment that creates the opportunity for real connections that empower women both personally and professionally, build awareness and break down gender bias, and have a measurable impact on our projects, competitors, partners, clients, employees and communities.

CLAYCO BRG (BLACK RESOURCE GROUP) The mission of the Black Resource Group (BRG) is to help Clayco provide a true path towards equal opportunity. The BRG aims to lead the Clayco enterprise towards insuring that black employees are embraced and feel safe in their workspace; and are provided a workplace that is inclusive, equitable, and offers a shared sense of belonging.

Our St. Louis Office and our Delmar Divine teams raised over $2,000 and donated 550 backpacks filled with school supplies to KIPP Victory Academy! KIPP Victory Academy is an elementary school near our Delmar Divine project in St. Louis.

6 Clayco Rising The labor shortage in the construction industry is a growing problem as fewer and fewer people enter the skilled trades.

This means the impact of the shortage on safety, productivity, and construction costs are going to increase as the current workforce approaches retirement age.

WHAT CAN CCDI DO TO HELP BUSINESS OWNERS?

CONSTRUCTION CAREER DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE (CCDI) In 2015, Clayco formed an independent 501c3, the Construction Career Development Initiative or CCDI which focuses on the unique needs of the construction industry and offers an industry-driven solution to 1) aggregate hiring demand at scale, 2) translate industry needs into workforce skills, and 3) create more effective screening and placement processes.

By partnering with CCDI and our mission, we work with businesses to help create an environment where those interested in the construction industry can enter and be successful and retained. We help our industry partners continue their efforts grow the local workforce by supplying the right training and mentorship to students, underrepresented and underemployed adults in our community seeking to transition into the building trades.

CCDI connects business owners with jobseekers by making them a part of the workforce development process. We offer business owners the opportunity to participate in our career fairs to meet with our CCDI participants one on one and find jobseekers that are training in their field.

CCDI is also our investment in the retention and promotion of a diverse construction workforce.

Just 20 months after Ferguson erupted and residents expressed their frustration at the lack of jobs, Centene Corporation celebrated the grand opening of its new $25-million Ferguson Service Center on Friday, April 15. The center, located at 2900 Pershall Road, will bring more than 250 jobs to the north St. Louis County area.

“The business sector must be a role model in creating stronger and healthier communities across the nation,” said Michael F. Neidorff, chairman, president and CEO of Centene.

Centene, a Fortune 500 company, provides services to government-sponsored healthcare programs and operates local health plans. It reported 22.8 billion in revenues in 2015. Employees mainly process insurance claims at this new 45,000-square-foot facility.

DELMAR DIVINE Clayco hosted a Thank You lunch for the minority subcontractors and select primes at our Delmar DivINe jobsite.

Delmar DivINe will maximize the impact of the nonprofit sector in St. Louis, especially among human service organizations, while simultaneously being a catalyst for the transformation of neighborhoods in North St. Louis City. And that impact started with engaging a diverse team to help us bring the project to completion. Rick Moeckel + Steven Graves A Mentorship Story

Steven’s journey to Clayco started over five years ago where he was exposed to career opportunities in construction through Clayco’s CCDI program. In 2018, Steven received our Build Our Future Scholarship to attend Missouri Western State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology. Rick Moeckel, a fellow alum of Missouri Western, has helped to mentor Steven and assisted him with an internship as a project engineer at Clayco last summer in Nebraska. Steven has since been hired full-time and has been working at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis Multidisciplinary Cancer Center project alongside his mentor.

DE’HON MULL – CONCRETE STRATEGIES

D’Von Johnson, 2019 Alum and McCluer Grad has been active in CCDI for the past 5 years. D’Von interned with Clayco as a quality control manager after high school. He decided to pursue a career in the painting trades and with the help of CCDI, started working as an apprentice painter for PM Leach.

D’Von also wanted to further his education and became an Apprentice Scholar where he worked full day while taking business classes at the community college in the evenings.

D’Von noticed there was a need for minority commercial painters in the industry and decided to start his first business venture running his own company, D. Johnson Painting.

De’Hon Mull, 2019 BOF Scholar and Jennings Grad joined CCDI in 2018 when he was a high school junior. He attended all our Saturday Academies and was matched with Mr. Tommy Davis, President of TD4 Electrical, as his mentor who assisted De’Hon with buying his first car. De’Hon began studying business at STLCC after high school, but opted to change directions and went into auto mechanics for several years. CCDI reconnected with De’Hon when he was hired on full-time at Concrete Strategies in June to pursue a career as a cement mason with Local 527! CCDI awarded De’Hon a tool scholarship to get him started.

WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY CANCER CENTER

ALUMNI TRADES DAY

In October, 30 students took a visit to Washington University School of Medicine Multidisciplinary Cancer Center which is being built by Clayco. They had the opportunity to meet the project team and tour the job site where they spoke to several different tradesmen and got to see construction in action. Thank you, Clayco, for hosting!

In November, 43 students attended Alumni Trades Day hosted at North Tech. This annual session is an opportunity for students to engage in different trade related demonstration stations each taught by CCDI alumni. We had a special turn out of 12 alumni who all gave great advice on how to be successful in the trades. Thank you, Mr. Hanneken!

TOPGOLF MIDTOWN

0LIVE CROSSING PROJECT

In March, 25 students had a unique opportunity to see the construction of a Topgolf project firsthand! ARCO/Murray invited our students to their Midtown project where they learned about how Topgolf locations are built in different states and then took a tour of the site. Thank you, ARCO/ Murray, for sending our students home with awesome swag bags!

In April, 29 students took a visit to Keeley Companies Olive Crossing project. They learned all about the Keeley’n culture and career opportunities from Mr. Brian Pate, Vice President of Building and then geared up to take a tour and learn about this residential build. Thank you, Keeley, for hosting our students!
