This past year,

we have all had a glimpse of what it feels like to wait for hope. Plans have been delayed, we have been separated from our families, fear and isolation have permeated our lives – all due to circumstances beyond our control.

But the moment there is something to look forward to, everything begins to change. With hope, we find resilience. We rediscover joy. Hope strengthens us, connects us. Hope empowers us to transform our own lives and the lives of those around us.

For children with critical illnesses, feelings of isolation and hopelessness are all too familiar. Hospital stays, doctor’s visits and painful treatments are their “new normal.”

For them, finding hope in challenging circumstances is something they have been doing long before any of us heard the word “lockdown.” In 2020, even through the greatest of challenges, we proved that HOPE is essential for children battling critical illnesses. And with the help of our community of volunteers, donors and families, Make-A-Wish North Texas was able to deliver wishes to 240 children across our 161-county territory!

A wish brings healing power, and there are still thousands of children battling critical illnesses throughout Texas who need a wish to look forward to. Every gift given last year, and any gifts you make going forward, will give our Wish Kids hope, so they can look forward to tomorrow.

Statement of Financial Position We are committed to our vision of granting the wish of every eligible child – which means great care is taken in prudent allocation of supporter contributions. We work hard to carefully steward each dollar donated, maximize every hour volunteered and fully leverage goods and services shared; all to make as many wishes as possible come true each year.
