Billie and Eduardo in 2004, Pittsburgh Eduardo and Billie were married on March 29, 1954. They enjoyed each other’s company and love for literature and the arts until his passing, in 2006.

She continued pursuing her own literary and arts work, creating for one more decade.

On the occasion of the Center for Latin American Studies 50th Anniversary, in 2014, Billie generously donated several pieces of Eduardo’s artwork to preserve his artistic legacy.

As agreed, some of the pieces were exhibited in the University Club’s Gold Room as part of a silent auction to benefit the Eduardo Lozano Memorial Dissertation Award.

The remainder are part of the Center’s permanent collection.
