The Capital Region Campus (CRC) in Schenectady, New York, is a satellite campus for Clarkson University. The CRC caters mainly to the working engineering professional and offers mechanical, electrical, energy-related and information technology courses to its quarter-based students. All courses are taught by exceptional faculty who are practicing professionals in their industries.

The CRC offers partial, merit-based scholarships to all of its quarter-based students. Research and/or teaching assistantships for semester-based students are available at Clarkson’s main campus in Potsdam, New York where all research facilities are located. Courses in engineering or science disciplines offered at the main campus are only offered to semester-based students.

he world of power electronics and energy conversion is changing rapidly, creating opportunities for electrical engineers to apply advanced skills to technologies and drive growth of products.

This degree will expand your understanding of technologies, such as modern electric machinery, modeling, power electronics control, synchronous generation, nuclear engineering, fuel cell engineering, photovoltaics and more.

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS This degree requires 10 courses and the course EE699: MS Graduate Project in Electrical Engineering to graduate. Seven of the 10 must be technical courses from the electrical engineering curriculum; the other three courses are electives. The electives include other electrical or mechanical courses, computer science (or information technology) courses and online courses through the David D. Reh School of Business MBA program and Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering business of energy program.

echnology-driven businesses need leaders with the technical knowledge to drive innovation and the business expertise to manage for success.

This degree will prepare you to meet that need by integrating engineering (or information technology) courses with core components of an MBA and business of energy courses. You’ll become the architect of a multidisciplinary technical/management degree that provides the skills necessary to quickly develop products and move them toward commercialization.

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS This degree requires 11 courses to graduate. Six of these courses must be technical courses from the electrical or mechanical engineering curriculum or computer science (or information technology) courses; the remaining five courses are elective online courses through the David D. Reh School of Business MBA program or the Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering business of energy program.

his degree focuses on energy systems and related technology, as well as the impact of our changing environment on these technologies. This degree integrates mechanical/electrical energy-related courses and fundamental technical courses that provide you with the technical breadth and depth required to compete in the design, commercialization and service associated with products related to emerging energy systems. Career growth may be enhanced further with a broad understanding of non-technical elements that impact change.

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS This degree requires 11 courses to graduate. Five to nine of these courses must be energy-related technical courses from the electrical or mechanical engineering curriculum. Two to three of the remaining courses must be non-technical courses from the electrical or mechanical engineering curriculum or online courses through the Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering business of energy program. Of the remaining courses, up to four can be other technical courses from the electrical or mechanical engineering curriculum.

Master of Science & Advanced Certificate in Business of Energy (MS,BOE & AC,BOE) DELIVERY METHOD:

challenging economy, an aging infrastructure and new technology integration, as well as the complexity of identifying issues and implementing changes to the generation and delivery of electric power, are critical issues in the business of energy. A knowledgeable workforce is key to meeting these challenges. This degree (or advanced certificate) program will combine strategic principles used in the energy industry with focused business disciplines to equip you with the industry knowledge and business skills needed to become a leader in this rapidly changing and critical industry.

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS This degree requires 10 courses and the course BOE616: MS Graduate Project in the Business of Energy to graduate. One course must be BOE610: Fundamentals of the Business of Energy, plus four to five courses from the remaining Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering business of energy program. The remaining five courses are electives from the David D. Reh School of Business MBA program.

The advanced certificate requires the completion of four courses.

One course must be BOE610: Fundamentals of the Business of Energy, plus three courses from the remaining business of energy program.

Students are encouraged to take all six courses from the business of energy program.

General Admission Information PREREQUISITES:

— Students must have a BS in engineering or an equivalent field.

A complete application consists of the following items: — Online application, which can be accessed at gradapp.clarkson.edu/apply.

— Resume/CV. — Statement of purpose.

— Letters of recommendation (two required).

— Official transcripts, although unofficial transcripts are acceptable for admission purposes.

— GRE scores (required for those with a cumulative GPA below a 3.0).

International students are required to submit a certificate of finance to receive an I-20 and official scores for one of the following: — TOEFL (score of 80 minimum).

— IELTS (score of 6.5 minimum).

— Pearson Test of English (PTE) (score of 56 minimum).

— Duolingo (score of 61 minimum).
