About co-curricular activities at Trinity College
Trinity College prides itself on creating many opportunities for students to explore new skills and develop their talents, throughout the school year. Trinity seeks to offer affordable and convenient arrangements for its students to enjoy a variety of activities external to the classroom. We aim to keep the prices of these activities as low as possible, with many at no extra charge, to assist with the cost of living pressures on families.
Global and National Experiences
Trinity offers a range of experiences that go beyond our local College setting, such as service work, language growth, exploring history, cultural immersion, unique sporting opportunities, various academic challenges between countries and so much more. The College hosts students from our sister schools to strengthen Global connections. Co-curricular activities can change from year to year and from term to term. This document is purely a guide to our possible offerings. Many factors influence available co-curricular options including enrolment numbers, availability of specialist coaches, student requests and the fixtures/facilities of various sporting associations who we register with to compete against other schools.
Cattle Club
Training and preparation of beef cattle for exhibition at agricultural shows.
An opportunity to compete at the Royal Adelaide Show and the Gawler Show.

Build problem solving skills by learning computer coding and programming.
An opportunity to engage in fun, creative programming projects.

Debating
Debating is a fun activity in which ideas and policies are examined with the aim of persuading people within an organised structure.

Goat Club
Learn the skills of training and preparing goats for exhibition at agricultural shows.

Faith in Action
Bible stories, social interaction, fun and games.
The opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a social setting.

Lion Dancing
Students learn to play the roles of front lion dancers, back lion dancers, drummers, cymbalists, gong players and clowns.
An opportunity to perform at Lunar New Year and Moon Lantern Festival launches.
YEARS 4-12
Mind Lab
This program uses strategy games to develop higher-order thinking skills, social and emotional awareness, planning and decisionmaking.
No experience is necessary, simply a commitment to fair play and resilience.
YEARS 4-6
STEM Robotics
Have fun designing, building and programming a robot as part of a dynamic team. Students are encouraged to think creatively to develop solutions through programming, design and construction.
An opportunity to develop team work skills and compete in Robocup competitions.

From learning the rules of Australian Rules
Football to playing games at a very high level. We compete in both the Sports Association for Adelaide Schools (SAAS) and local competitions.

A community AFL (Auskick) program offered at Trinity.

Our keen players compete in the Sports Association of Adelaide Schools (SAAS) Competition.

A social basketball program at STARplex is available for all students.

We compete in the Sports Association of Adelaide Schools (SAAS) competition. We have female and male teams and an internal Years 4-7 program.

Our boys and girls teams compete in the Independent Schools competition.

When playing sport for a College team you will need to purchase a College branded blue uniform which is reversible to show a red Indigenous design. If playing in an Open College Team (red uniforms) this playing top is gifted to you.

College Musicals KIDS
Private Tutors provide a wide range of tuition in their specialist field. We have dedicated educators who bring expertise and passion to their craft. They help cultivate musical skills, build confidence and foster a love of music. We offer individual or group lessons at a time that causes minimal disruption to the student’s other classes.

Each Trinity school has their own ensembles/ bands that students can participate in. They include Concert Band, Year 6 Band, Year 5 Band, Junior Choir, Middle School Vocal Ensemble, Rock Bands and small Ensembles.

College Ensembles
College-wide Ensembles provide the opportunity for students to advance their playing in more specific groups that focus on different styles of music. Open to students from across the College, these ensembles are auditioned groups and represent the College in events such as Generations in Jazz. Choices are College Concert Band, Stage Band 1 and 2, Jazz Vocal Ensemble 1 and 2, Instrumental Ensembles (Clarinet, Saxophone, Strings).

Curiosity & Creativity Club
To help students develop their awareness and interest in the visual arts and how we interpret the world through art and design works.
An opportunity to analyse art/design pieces as well as create your own art and design work.

School Musicals
Each Trinity school produces a musical for its community to enjoy.
Students have opportunities to perform in lead roles, the ensemble or dance team and be part of the off-stage crew.

Middle School Elite Dance Team
A College wide auditioned dance group which represents Trinity at the Dance Ultra competition, as well as other College events.
YEARS 7-10
Art Club
Visual Arts activities including ceramics, painting and drawing.
An opportunity to improve your fine art skills and host an exhibition.

Social basketball games, development programs and STARplex Academy are offered.

Dance Programs
A variety of dance genres including jazz, funk, salsa, modern and hip hop.
No experience necessary and stage performances each term.

Pickleball is a combination of badminton, ping-pong and tennis. Both an easy game for beginners and fast-paced fitness activity for the developed enthusiast.

From learning to swim to a squad program and elite swimming.
STARplex has its own Swim Club that competes at short course events.
AGES 6 MONTHS+
Soccer
Indoor Futsal competition operates for new and experienced players.
A team nomination process. Summer only.
AGES 8-16 YEARS
there is no cost to participate in this activity. a fee applies to participate in this activity. a cost applies if this team/group make a state/ national or international final and must travel to compete.
activity operates in Terms 1/2/3/4. this activity is school based and is therefore not offered at every Trinity school.
