This year marks the 30th anniversary since the introduction of PACCAR’s global aftermarket brand, TRP, in The Netherlands. Since then, the brand has expanded to other markets worldwide, including its launch in Australia in May, 2013. TRP’s 30th anniversary is a global celebration of the brand’s expansive range of trusted all-makes products for customers operating any make of truck or trailer. This milestone recognises the past, present and future evolution of the TRP brand as a reliable, high-value choice. It celebrates the ever-expanding product portfolio and global growth of the TRP retail parts and service network, currently standing at 301 stores across Australasia, North and South America and Europe. Thirty years ago, the brand’s acronym stood for Truck Related Parts; however, the offering has grown to include trailer parts, load restraints, cleaning products and other accessories. PACCAR’s attention to releasing quality products backed by a minimum 12-month warranty led to the brand’s current tagline: “Trusted. Reliable. Proven.” Mark Santschi, the General Manager of PACCAR Parts Australia, the aftermarket division of PACCAR that sources and distributes TRP products, has international experience with the brand, overseeing the sales and marketing of TRP products across North and South America, and now in Australia. “TRP is a great example of how PACCAR develops a global strategy that can be tailored to local markets,” he says. “Over the years, we’ve leveraged our international expertise and refined our process to develop, test and support products with trusted partners. We’ve developed a unified focus on quality and value that has helped the brand meet the needs of our customers in a variety of markets, and that is certainly true here in Australia.” Regarding TRP’s product offering, Niels Holm, Product Marketing Manager for TRP Parts Australia reflects, “The TRP product range has expanded considerably since being introduced here in Australia. Most notably is the TRP range of brake drums and brake shoes which have stood the test of time, selling in the thousands each year. As the brand has become more established, so has the range of TRP products with

truck cleaning products, torque rod bushes and batteries now becoming staple purchases by workshops and owner drivers alike.” He goes on to say, “PACCAR takes pride in offering a range of quality TRP products to our customers. All products go through a rigorous selection and testing process before they are released to the market, ensuring they are fit for purpose and made to survive Australia’s tough conditions”. Peter Tomeo, owner of Karradale Livestock Transport in WA said, “We’ve been TRP customers since TRP opened their store in Perth. There’s a massive amount of aftermarket parts available in this industry, but TRP are backed by PACCAR so they’ve got that horsepower behind them, they’re always price competitive and their warranties are really good.” Vincent Offenbaker, Parts Manager of the 2023 TRP Global Store of the Year, TRP Bibra Lake, backed this up by saying, “Our strategy is to look after the customer. TRP products have a no-fuss warranty so if a part fails, the customer can bring it back and we’ll swap it over no questions asked. If that’s not looking after the customer, I don’t know what is”. In Victoria, Peter Mammarella, Parts Manager for TRP stores in Geelong, Somerton and Ballarat, said, “TRP products give our customers choice. It allows them to use a high-quality part whilst ticking the box on cost savings, as everybody is trying to do in the current economic climate.” His customer Brad Lowe from Geelong Transport Repairs confirmed his sentiments, saying, “To me the TRP product stacks up against OEM. I find it just as good; their availability is great and the service our local store provides is fantastic.” TRP’s “Long Live your Truck and Trailer” campaign, as seen on the cover of this catalogue, celebrates the life of trucks and trailers, and TRP’s commitment to supporting and meeting all truckies’ needs for the rest of their truck and trailer’s life. NEW TRP®STORE OPENS IN HASTINGS The town of Hastings, VIC, situated along the Western Port Bay, 77 kilometres south of Melbourne, is now home to a brand new truck and trailer parts store under the globally successful TRP® brand. The new store is trading as TRP Peninsula and is owned and operated by the South Australian-based CMV Group. In Victoria the new store is an extension of both the Hallam and Bayswater Truck Centres as well as the TRP Pakenham store. Together the four facilities service most of Melbourne’s eastern region, also providing support into West Gippsland, the Yarra Valley and the Peninsula. The TRP brand, positioned as an affordable all makes supplier of high-quality parts for prime mover, rigid trucks, and all types of heavy trailers, now has 301 outlets worldwide, including thirteen in Australia. The store stocks a high proportion of consumables for all major truck brands, ranging from filtration, lubricant, and electrical products, to brakes, suspensions, steering, wheel end, trailer parts and accessories. All TRP Parts come with a minimum 12-month warranty. Hallam & Bayswater Truck Centres General Manager, Matt Keene, said “We are excited to be opening our new TRP store in the Hastings area to further support existing and new customers. Since opening our parts store TRP Pakenham in early 2018 we saw the benefit of local stores and workshops and we strive to repeat that experience for customers in the Peninsula.
