CL ARENCE HALL NEWSLETTER & WHAT’S ON We Will Rock You! At the end of April, we were delighted to host the Junior Section of AAODS (Abergavenny Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society) as they performed ‘We Will Rock You Young@Part’. Both the Society and its individual performers have been regular winners of awards at the District and Regional level of NODA, the National Operatic and Dramatic Association, and we can see why! We were privileged to experience an outstanding performance from a talented cast. Congratulations to all involved.
Crickhowell stands with Ukraine Join us at the Clarence Hall, Crickhowell on Saturday, 7 May for the ‘Crickhowell Stands with Ukraine’ Music & Entertainment Festival. The day’s activities start at 12 noon with a table top sale (all items will be donated with sale funds going to support our Ukrainian friends), story-telling, fancy dress, music, performance and more until 5pm. Admission free. The doors then reopen at 7pm for an evening of live Music and surprises! Bands so far include Song House, McCarthyism, Noted and 99% Chimp. All local talent and all amazing in their own rights! Tickets for the evening event are £10 in advance and £15 on the door. Torfaen Arts After an absence of two years, the Crickhowell Open Studios event returns over the Jubilee Weekend. The Clarence Hall is, once again, hosting Torfaen Arts, a diverse group of both amateur and professional artists living within Torfaen. All the works being exhibited are for sale, so please pop in and celebrate with us on 3-5 June, 10am-5pm.
