With the 2024 season now well behind us, after only a few weeks of down time most of our affiliated clubs have hosted their Annual General Meetings and have well and truly commenced planning for 2025.

We welcome those taking on club committee roles and extend a big thanks to those who are stepping away after giving many hours of support to their respective clubs. On that note, I would like to welcome Faith Perryman to the CJRL Board of Directors, as she takes on the role of Member Services Director. Faith has had a long affiliation with the Como-Jannali JRLFC.

Over recent weeks, we have consulted with NSWRL and CJRL clubs on a range of matters which came out of an end of season competition forum as recommendations. We do expect some confirmation from NSWRL regarding any changes to Southern Sydney Conference or Southern Corridor Competitions for 2025 very shortly.

Our efforts to work collaboratively continue with Cronulla Sharks, NRL Development and NSWRL in our district for the betterment of our game continue, and a recent meeting of all parties was very productive in evaluating our current strengths and areas of potential improvement as a collective

In this edition of Shark Attack we are able to release a preliminary 2025 calendar, with all major events confirmed to date. We will circulate updates as additional events are confirmed.

As the off-season keeps us busy readying for 2025, I want to take the opportunity to extend the best wishes of the board to our entire Rugby League family across the Shire. We hope you enjoy a wonderful Christmas with family and friends, and a happy and healthy new year.

Our 2024 season was one of great success for CJRL. We hope to see you all again in 2025 as we strive to deliver and even better season for our participants.

Cronulla Junior Rugby League wishes to acknowledge our partners who supported the delivery of senior and junior Rugby League in 2024

Score Sharks

The 'Score Sharks' is the All Abilities Cronulla Sharks team. The Sharks have partnered with The Disability Trust to create this amazing team, bringing individuals with disability the opportunity to play a modified version of rugby league. The team was founded in March 2024 and trains every week throughout the school terms. The team was modelled of the successful Score Dragons program and hopes to follow in their footsteps by having the team compete in the local JRL completion. This will not only provide Score Sharks players the chance to put their skills to the test while playing in a weekly competition, it will also provide JRL players with an amazing education and inclusion opportunity to play against the team.

The Score Sharks team will be integrated into competition draws from u13s and up (Tackle and Leaguetag) and will take on the designated home team after they have completed their competition fixture.

Games involving the Score Sharks are played as two-handed touch, in 2 x 15 minute halves.
