After two great days of Rugby League, we have crowned our 2024 premiers in all competitions.
Congratulations to all those who triumphed on grand final day. To those who tasted defeat, our commiserations. It’s a great achievement to qualify for a grand final and an invaluable experience which in many cases makes a team better equipped to try again the following season.
Apart from all our 6018 registered players, a big thanks to club committee members, trainers, coaches, team managers, and all those who ensure the sausages get cooked and the canteen trades at all our venues. Community driven sports like Rugby League don’t happen without good people like yourselves.
Our final edition of Shark Attack recognises all our premiers and major award winners which is something we haven’t been able to do before in this format.
It’s been a challenging but rewarding season, however it won’t be long before we turn our attention to the 2025 season.
I hope to see you all again in 2025 as we continue to grow the game in the Shire

Grand finals in the Southern Corridor competitions didn’t bring any joy for CJRL teams.
In the u18 girls tier 1 grand final on Saturday 31 August, Engadine’s great run of form came to an end when they went down 20-6 to Campbelltown City.
In the u18 girls tier 2 grand final on Saturday 7 September, Coomo-Jannali went down to Corrimal 36-0.
In the u18 gold competition, Aquianas headed to WIN Stadium to tke on Thirroul but the Butchers were too good winning 28-8.
Despite the results, all teams should be proud of their efforts in 2024 – particularly the last few weeks when they chalked up some of their best wins of the year.
Bring on 2025!
