In 1901, Theodor Herzl created Jewish National Fund to accomplish the Jewish People’s 2,000-year-old dream of reestablishing a homeland for the Jewish People on their ancestral soil. While Herzl did not live to see his dream come to fruition, we did, and as custodians of this new reality for the Jewish People, we carry an historic responsibility to support the land and people of Israel. Their strength is our strength. Together, we have rolled up our sleeves and planted 260 million trees, created thousands of parks, and laid infrastructure for housing all across Israel. We are providing Zionist education and empowering the youth of this country from the moment a child is born to their time in high school, college, and in their professional lives. Through them, we are ensuring our legacies as leaders of the Jewish community and in turn, the future of Israel—our future. The size of our dream is only exceeded by the breadth of our results.

Jewish National Fund-USA partners, donors like you, are investing hundreds of millions of dollars each year into our Go North and Blueprint Negev campaigns to take once barren lands and make them prosper with a combination of visionary projects and partnerships that include infrastructure, development, career training and employment services, as well as parks and recreation sites.

Several years ago, we established our ambitious One Billion Dollar Roadmap for the Next Decade fundraising campaign—you have to think big and be true visionaries to accomplish as much as Jewish National Fund-USA does. We have now raised $903 million of our one-billion-dollar target to build and ensure that Israel remains a strong and secure Jewish homeland, and that we are strong and secure.

Our $100 Million JNF-USA Boruchin Center has provided scholarships and support to the Alexander Muss High School, Caravan for Democracy, Faculty Fellowships and created partnerships with Heroes to Heroes, Israel on Campus Coalition, Maccabi USA, Yavneh and many others, to focus on Israel and Zionist educational programming for thousands to take part. And we have embarked on our most ambitious project to date: the $350 million World Zionist Village that will transform the Jewish world for decades to come.

B’Nefesh, we have brought tens of thousands of North American olim (new immigrants) to Israel to begin new lives. Housing remains the number one challenge for new and existing Israelis. Jewish National Fund-USA’s Housing Development Fund is providing the resources to meet the need, and that’s why our partners like you are investing $50 million to provide direct loans to build new homes in Israel’s Galilee and Negev.

Our new Be’er Sheva River Park, a 1,300-acre extensive water, environment, and economic development project, has transformed southern Israel and turned the city into a hub for high tech companies to settle and and build—where Jewish National Fund-USA leads the way, others soon follow!

Those are some of the numbers—and behind every number is a partner like you. It’s obvious our work has a major and overwhelmingly positive impact on the land and people of Israel.

The Jewish People have returned to the land of Israel, and with Jewish National Fund-USA leading the way, we have repurchased the land, developed new cities and communities from the Galilee to the Negev, created a water system that feeds the country’s agriculture industry and provides water technology to a thirsty world. More than eight million people can now live with all the modern conveniences we have here.

Through our program, Special in Uniform, we are fulfilling the dreams of 450 soldiers with disabilities to serve in the Israel Defense Forces, positively affecting their quality of life. Inclusion is important to all of us. No one should be left behind. We are all one family. In a country where 13% have physical or mental disabilities, we remain passionate about making sure the quality of life is good for all—which is why we’re investing $50 million in special needs services and programs like LOTEM-Making Israel Accessible and ALEH Negev-Nahalat Eran— programs that offer activities such as therapeutic horseback riding and accessible field trips.

HARLAN DIAMOND

Harlan Diamond, Former President of Executive Caterers, Inc. retired in 2020 following a 70-year career in the food and hospitality industry. In 1983, Harlan bought Landerhaven Country Club in Mayfield Heights, which he turned into the most prominent event center in Northeast Ohio. Among the many events to which Harlan played host, notable example include the Cleveland Bicentennial, the opening of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and his annual Phil-anthropi-a luncheon which raised more than $2 million for local charities. Harlan is an inductee to the Glenville Hall of Fame, a member of Park Synagogue, and a true mensch in his heart and in his actions.
