Information and tours Following the introduction to your course we will be holding an information area in The Great Hall (College Building). Here you can find out more about accommodation and the support and services we provide our students. Allow for some time at the end of the day to take a campus tour led by one of our Student Ambassadors. This is a great opportunity to get to know City’s buildings and facilities.


Student life and support for students Following your course specific sessions, your Student Ambassadors will bring you to the information area in The Great Hall (College Building). This is an optional part of the day where you can find out more information on the following services: Admissions Members of our admissions team will be available from 4pm. Feel free to drop in for a discussion about your application and the next steps in the UCAS process. Accommodation Find out more about the University’s undergraduate halls-of-residence and our accommodation guarantee scheme. Members of the team will be available to answer your questions and advise you on any issues you may want to discuss about accommodation at City. Careers, Student Development & Outreach The Careers, Student Development & Outreach team offer guidance to City students from day one of their course. The service also provides advice for pre-entry students offered a

place to study at the University. Alongside information about career planning, you can find out more about opportunities for volunteering, mentoring and work as a Student Ambassador. Student Centre Staff from the Student Centre can offer advice on financial support and accommodation. A member of the Learning Success team, which looks after disability, dyslexia and academic learning support matters will also be available to discuss any queries. Finally, the Student Centre can provide guidance for parents and international students. Library Library Services offer a huge range of resources to support your studies at City. Our printed collections are complemented by a vast portfolio of online resources

(e-books, e-journals and specialist databases). Opening hours are extensive and help is available from our specialist staff in person or online. Sport & Leisure Service CitySport, City’s new sports facility located on Goswell Road, has over 3,000m² of floor space. CitySport provides outstanding facilities and equipment for students, staff and the local community. To find out more about sport at City, visit the information stand or book a tour of CitySport. Student Finance Members of staff from the funding and financial support team will be available to provide up-to-date information on areas including funding, scholarships, bursaries, prizes and money management tips. Feel free to drop in for a chat.

Campus tours Make sure to allow for some time to take a campus tour led by one of our Student Ambassadors. The tours leave from 4pm and are a great opportunity to get to know City’s buildings and facilities. You will visit the Student Centre, the Careers, Student

Development and Outreach areas, the Library and newly opened CityBar. As part of the campus tour you will visit many of the departments within the University responsible for student support. Staff from each department will be located in The Great Hall to provide more information and answer

your questions. To book a place on a campus tour, visit the helpdesk in The Great Hall from 3pm onwards. • Campus tours leave every 5 minutes • Accommodation tours leave every 15 minutes • CitySport tours leave every 15 minutes.

On hearing a continuous alarm, please leave the building immediately by the nearest fire exit or as advised by fire wardens who are identified by their yellow high visibility jackets. Do not re-enter the building until instructed to do so by the wardens.
