Pitt Street Utilities Work Update 21 February 2020 Dear neighbours, Utilities work continues around Beresford Square for the construction of the new Karangahape Station. From 24 February this work will expand into Pitt Street. One lane on Pitt Street around our works will be closed and on-street parking from Karangahape Road to Beresford Square will be removed. This closure will be in place for approximately two months. We will endeavour to maintain the loading zone on Pitt Street near Karangahape Road. Loading zones further down Pitt Street and on Beresford Square will currently remain. See the map below of alternative loading zones in the area. Loading zone locations
How will this affect me? Aspects of the work, such as concrete-cutting, hydro-excavation and compacting will create noise and vibration. We will make every effort to minimise these impacts by using noise mats. We will monitor for dust, vibration and noise levels.
