What’s happening now in the Mt Eden Station area? • Temporary site office established here at 97 Mt Eden Rd • Meetings with parties in the vicinity of the enabling works as part of preparing construction management plans • Soft-strip & salvage work within the Mt Eden demolition area – ongoing until about March 2020 • Erection of temporary fencing around the demolition site (Nikau/Flower/Shaddock/Ruru) – October 2019

• Geotechnical investigations - started 5 October • Physical building demolition – mid-October to Q2 2020 (approx.) • Asbestos removal – starting shortly

C5 - Western Line connection Link Alliance & CRL Ltd are working on the design development of C5 – CRL’s integration with the Western Line. A contractual agreement is expected to be finalised by November 2019, which will enable the design and staging of Western Line works to be finalised.
Normanby Rd level crossing
Two key closures that we have confirmed dates for: • •
Porters Ave vehicle crossing - Easter 2020 Mt Eden Station – early June 2020 (Queen’s Birthday weekend)
We are working with Auckland Transport and KiwiRail to ensure these closures (and detour routes and alternative public transport options) are publicly advertised well ahead of time. 16
Normanby Road Utilities Early Works To ensure that programme can be maintained, the C5 team are starting planning for utility relocations at Normanby Road. We will be talking to directly impacted properties about these works from this week. These discussions with affected parties will help inform the construction management plans for these particular utility works. Summaries of these draft management plans will be brought to the Mt Eden CLG later this year for input and discussion.

drafted the plans are here tonight so you can provide your feedback directly and ask any questions you may have about their respective plans.
• The plans will then be finalised before
undergoing an independent peer review and then lodgement with Auckland Council for final approval.
