Proposed work / project: The proposed works addressed in this OPW and referred to as the Karangahape Station Main Works involve the excavation of a temporary access shaft, mining of platform tunnels, excavation and construction of the two station entrance boxes at Mercury Lane and Beresford Square, and the operation of Construction Support Areas in the vicinity of Beresford Square, Pitt Street and Mercury Lane. This OPW and associated Delivery Work Plans (DWPs) have been prepared to enable the Link Alliance contractor to commence work in alignment with the City Rail Link Project programme. The DWPs and related management plans are ‘living documents’ and may require changes (material and non-material) once construction commences, in response to construction conditions and subject to necessary approval/certification.
