Contract 2 Upcoming changes: • Pedestrians shifted away from building line outside the Stamford so that site clearance works can commence • Streetscape works will commence outside NZ Trade Centre, access to the shop and carpark will be maintained at all times • Southbound traffic near Customs St will be shifted to the western side of Albert St to enable the removal of the last concrete deck panels

Lower Queen Street plaza re-designation and renaming • The LQS plaza is given back to communities at the end of this year
• Auckland Transport will lead the plaza’s re-designation • CRL will lead the plaza’s re-naming • We can request to name just the plaza area, or the whole block
• CRL Mana Whenua Forum will generate names • Public consultation for both will be in May 2020
• Analysis will be collated • Waitematā Local Board choose the plaza’s name

Aotea Station site • Aotea Station site being established as a construction support area
• Utility relocations on Albert St have begun • Wellesley St West / Mayoral Dr & Victoria St West intersection closes on 1 March 2020
• Some bus routes will change in response • Demolition of the Mercury
Karangahape Station site • Demolition of the Mercury Lane site continues • Utility relocations are underway • Beresford Square closed to vehicles 23
Mt Eden Station site • Piling has started to build the tunnel portal for the Tunnel Boring Machine • Demolition works are almost complete • A series of trial blasts will soon be carried out in the construction site • Utility relocations on Flower St underway – soon to begin on Mt Eden Rd • Mt Eden Station will close temporarily on 30 May 2020

Tunnel Boring Machine – naming competition • CRL and the Link Alliance have launched a competition to name the TBM • It will arrive and be assembled later this year
