C2 Public Realm Reinstatement Addendums: Transport, Access and Parking Delivery Work Plan – Lower Albert St

Matthew presented an overview of C2 Public Realm Reinstatement

Ngan presented on the Transport, Access and Parking Delivery Work Plan

Richard asked if there was a fourth stage to the traffic layout staging on Lower Albert Street according to the DWP - Ngan answered that there wasn’t

Richard asked when the traffic would switch - Ngan answered that it would be by late 2019 until early 2020 at this stage - Richard asked if there was currently a solid date for the switch as they needed to let their tourist companies in Japan know so that they could alter their travel route past Aotea Gifts

Ngan advised that a date should be able to be given at least three weeks before the change (in accordance with the TAP DWP) Alan added that a construction plan would have to be advised first, however that there was flexibility on this

C2 Public Realm Reinstatement Addendums: Social Impact and Business Disruption

Matthew presented on the SIBD DWP

Richard asked if the pavement would be reinstated at one time - Alan answered that this would be done in as few sequences as possible, however this would need to be broken down and the methodology agreed first

General business

4.1

Kathy advised that two of the issues when the hoardings were closer to the walkway were rubbish and lighting so it may need to be considered when works start in Lower Albert St - Ross added that more bins needed to be added in this area - Carol advised that CRL worked with Auckland Council on extra clean ups for this area and that once the issues were raised, it was monitored. This includes graffiti management

4.2

Richard asked when the next communication about these works would be received - Carol answered that the CLG meetings were at least every three months while in construction, but may be as regularly as every two weeks during critical stages. There would also be specific communication with businesses on a more regular basis through Alan (or equivalent) during the development of the construction methodology
