Project Scope Significant works - CPO including demo mini piling and diaphragm wall platform construction. During construction, existing ticketing and retail functions and pedestrian access to the station will be accommodated in the new temporary station building, east of the CPO and Glasshouse buildings.

CPO Ground Floor Soft Strip o Isolate services (in a just in time manner) o Remove kiosks –> recycle o Remove Timber Raised Stage area > carefully set aside and reengineer for reuse o Handrails > Set aside for reuse / reengineering (into bike stands etc) o Ceiling tiles – remove or protect in place? o Heritage Protection:
Seal up windows / doors , columns and ceilings – combination of timber frames with shrink wrap (pic)
o Black stone Tiles > take off walls and protect / store for reinstallation

Remove glazing and canopies Saw Cut (Rope) and remove column allowing access into the building
Introduce small crawler crane to CPO ground floor Lift plant and equipment through well hole to B1 level.
Roller Door installed • •
Automatic roller door to be installed at entrance. Fast door - 1500mm/sec with clear panels
Enabling Works B1 Prop ‘Glass Bridge’ o Glass Bridge propping to be installed (about ½ way along bridge). Designed by CRL and props bridge for later cutting.
Remove Escalators o Install lifting frame over central Escalator o Lift and roll escalator onto CPO ground floor on load skates o Lift southern escalator onto skates and shove (within lift pit) into central position and lift out using same lifting device) o (Night Works) Northern escalator dropped down to B1 level and rolled around to central lifting devices. Lifted out as per the middle escalator.
Temporary covers to lift pits at B1 level.
Heritage Protection CPO Building is Grade 1 Listed Building. Of special interest is the columns, Decorative Ceilings, Windows & Green Tiles. •
Timber Frame protection with plywood facings to all plastered columns

Timber frame protection to all windows including protection of existing exterior doors. Ply internal facing with external facing black shrink wrap finishes. o Special care to be taken with central ceiling and Green Wall tiles.

All Ceilings protected with a shrink wrap type finish across all ceiling.

The vestibule (upper floors main entrance) is of significance and although outside of works it will be cared for.
