Introductions – who’s in the room?

Works update – early works • Albert Street and Kingston Street utility relocations progressing well:
o Outside the District Court o Durham Street West slip lane o Crowne Plaza service lane o AA Centre running south along Albert Street to Auckland House (Auckland Council)
• Piling works for the combined utilities trench began in January outside AA Centre. Excavation of this trench will begin in the next week.
• Victoria Street West crossing work was undertaken over the Waitangi period.

Wellesley Street West, Mayoral Drive, Albert Street intersection closure Intersection closed to vehicles from Sunday 1 March until early 2021
Closure required to:
• Move underground utilities, such as gas, electricity and water, from the station’s footprint
• Begin top down construction o Install diaphragm walls o Build station roof o Lay new road surface above roof • Build platform and tunnels along Albert Street

Using the intersection after it closes • Bus routes diverted from 23 February
- 30 routes affected - Mayoral Drive and Victoria Street utilised
• About 2,800 people on foot per hour at peak - Temporary footpaths, as wide as possible - Walk your wheels - Access to all local businesses
• Access for local traffic
- Loading zones and taxi stands - Access to driveways and carparks
• Essential services
- Rubbish removal - Ambulance, Police and Fire
