If you are a budding mechanic or technician, our automotive provision is a first-class training facility where you can gain specialist skills and the latest industry knowledge to put you on the road to a successful career in the sector.

The automotive workshops are equipped with industrystandard facilities - including an open-plan mechanical workshop, a spray booth and paint room, an air con and electrical repair area, and a 14-booth welding and fabrication workshop - as well as the latest diagnostic equipment and technology. And with the launch of a new electric vehicle and green technologies centre you’ll learn the skills you need to work in this rapidly growing area of the industry.

We offer a range of IMI and City & Guilds (C&G) courses – from entry level to Level 3 qualifications – in body repair, vehicle finishing and car maintenance and, depending on the course you choose, you’ll learns all about engines, chassis, electrical systems, suspension, gear boxes and all the other elements you need to become an automotive vehicle technician.
