Fixit Bike Repair Stations The Fixit stations have all of the tools needed to perform basic bike repairs, from changing a flat tire to adjusting brakes and derailleurs. Stations are located in the following parks: Bonaventure, Emerald Estates, Gator Run, Indian Trace, Library Park, Peace Mound and Weston Regional.

EV Charging Stations As part of the FPL Evolution program, level 2 EV chargers (slow chargers) are available at strategic locations to encourage workplace charging accessibility as an effective way to promote the adoption of electrical vehicles.

Severe Weather Warning System Weston Regional, Tequesta Trace and Vista Park are equipped with lightning detection meters to advise park visitors when lightning threatens the area. A loud siren will alert park visitors to seek shelter immediately.

An “all clear” signal (three consecutive alarms) will sound when activities are clear to resume.

Aden Perry Life Rings Coast Guard regulated rescue rings have been installed near the water at Emerald Estates and Peace Mound Parks as part of the Aden Perry Hero Life Ring Initiative.

Aden tragically lost his life trying to save someone from drowning. If you witness a drowning in progress, CALL 911..THROW DON’T GO.

S PORTS L EAGUES The Weston Sports Alliance is the governing body for all league sports programs in the City. Youth and adult sports programming is offered to the community in a fun, competitive and professional atmosphere, with an emphasis on good sportsmanship.

The Weston Racquet Club, managed by Cliff Drysdale Tennis, offers a variety of tennis, pickleball and padel programs for children (ages 4 and over), teens and adults year-round. The center features 14 Har-Tru clay courts, one championship hard court, four pickleball courts and two padel courts, along with newly renovated locker and shower facilities and a Pro Shop.

ARTS COUNCIL OF GREATER WESTON The Arts Council of Greater Weston, Inc. is organized for educational, cultural and charitable purposes, to provide planning and oversight, and to support the diverse cultural activities of the community in an effort to enhance the quality of life for all residents of the City of Weston.

Established in 2002, the Arts Council of Greater Weston is an independent not-for-profit corporation comprised of elected board members representing varied backgrounds within the City of Weston.

The organization was awarded the 2023 Voluntary Service Award by the Florida Recreation and Park Association for their work to provide high-quality, award-winning arts and cultural programs and events in the community.

The Arts Council of Greater Weston assists the City of Weston by reviewing requests for the City to participate as a sponsor or provide venues for arts and cultural events in Weston.

Ages 8 and over are invited to participate in this Hands-Only CPR training -- a simplified form of CPR using only compressions and no breaths. Brain damage can occur in four minutes. For every minute without CPR, the chance of survival goes down 10%. In just one hour you will learn life-saving instruction on CPR, how to operate an AED and Stop the Bleed bleeding control.

Area of Weston Town Center Save the date for our annual patriotic festivities! Fireworks will lead off the celebration on the evening of Wednesday, July 3. The next day, start your holiday morning off with the 5K Run/Walk through the heart of the city at Weston Town Center. Later that morning, patriotic pride prevails at Weston’s largest annual community event – the Hometown Celebration Parade. Enjoy local businesses, civic groups, schools, bands, organizations and residents on parade decked out in red, white and blue as the units move through the route around and through Weston Town Center.

Join the fun! Community groups, bands and local businesses are encouraged to participate in the parade. Watch for our parade application to be posted on the City’s website.

The Community Center hosts a variety of programs for all ages throughout the year and also offers rooms available to rent. Details on room rentals can be found on page 20.

U.S. Flag Disposal Bin When a flag is worn, tattered, ripped or soiled beyond repair, it is no longer fit to serve as a symbol of our country and should be retired and disposed of properly. Residents can dispose of old, tattered and torn U.S. flags in the marked bin located just outside the Weston Community Center. Flags should be folded appropriately before they are turned in.

C OMMUNITY C ENTER A D U LT P R O G R A M S Duplicate Bridge Fridays, 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. $10 per game Bridge is back in Weston in duplicate style.

Each week players enjoy games played all over the US & Canada via “the common game” which duplicates the hands so that everyone plays the same cards. This is a stimulating game and a challenge to keep the mind sharp and has demonstrated to keep have a positive affect on the minds of senior adults.

All levels of play are welcome. All games are sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League. Players strive to become “life masters” and beyond.

R ENTAL I NFORMATION The City of Weston offers rentals of the multipurpose rooms in the Community Center and park shelters at specific park locations. Please note that alcohol is not permitted in City of Weston parks or facilities.

Community Center Room Rentals

Rooms are available to rent at the Community Center for private parties and other small functions on an hourly basis.

The multipurpose room is divided into three sections and can be rented out in different configurations: • Entire room ......................................................................................$150 per hour plus applicable tax • Two-thirds of room...........................................................................$100 per hour plus applicable tax • One-third of room ...........................................................................$ 50 per hour plus applicable tax Hourly fee plus Damage Deposit of $100 per room.

Rentals include the use of tables (6’ long or 60” round) and chairs. Kitchen facilities are not available.

Caterers have access to a room for equipment and food preparation.

Call the Community Center at 954-389-4321 to verify room availability and to make the reservation.

Shelter Reservations

Park shelters are available to rent at Emerald Estates Park and Regional Park. Shelters are covered and have picnic tables, access to electricity (110V), a charcoal grill and water. Suggested capacity is 30 people.

• $75 plus tax for full day, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Field/Court Rentals

Fields/Courts can be rented when not in use by leagues.

Weston Parks now offers an online registration portal (RecDesk). This system allows registered users to reserve shelters and to register for programs and classes as they are available. The online registration system includes a secure online payment portal.
