Visit Corvina Wine Company for an exceptional glass of wine, or Wild Roots restaurant for fresh farm-to-table fare. Enjoy cuisines from Peru, Japan, Latin America, Italy, the Middle East, and the best of American barbeque. Familyrun, hardworking businesses are the heart of West Allis, and whether you find a unique trinket at our Oniomania boutique or a custom t-shirt at Cream City Print Lounge, you’ll be going home with something one-of-akind.

THINGS TO DO:

Residents and visitors alike flock to West Allis’ many annual community events. Spring features the seasonal opening of the West Allis Farmers Market, the area’s oldest and largest outdoor farmers market. Summertime festivals include West Allis A La Carte, a street festival highlighting local food and music, which attracts over 10,000 visitors to downtown West Allis each year. Holiday parades including Independence Day and the Christmas Parade offer family fun for all ages. West Allis’ Inspiration Studios is a cultural hub of the community, showcasing live theatre performances, art exhibitions, and wine and painting nights. And don’t forget State Fair! DEVELOPMENT:

West Allis boomed in the early 1900s as an industrial city with dozens of factories, most notably the Allis Chalmers Company, operating within the City. Milwaukee’s Oak Leaf and Hank Aaron Trails cross through West Allis, providing cyclists and pedestrians with hundreds of miles of trail to explore. West Allis is a bike friendly City, offering miles of bike paths and trails to enjoy, and hosts eight Bublr® Bike Share bike stations. West Allis maintains 16 parks and green spaces, and four Milwaukee County Parks are situated in West Allis, including Greenfield Park.
