This cherished tradition is just the beginning, with upcoming events like Jingle Jog, Christmas on the Square, and the Weatherford Lights the Night Parade bringing even more joy to our city The spectacular Pathway of Lights display at Heritage Park is also open nightly through December 31 I hope that each of you take the time to enjoy these events with your family and friends

The City of Weatherford is pleased to announce the promotion of Ashley Seiler to Director of Economic Development She has served as Assistant Director of Economic Development since July 2023. In her new role, Seiler will continue to lead the department in advancing economic initiatives, fostering business growth, and enhancing the city’s appeal as a prime destination for investment and talent.
Seiler brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the position, having served with distinction in previous experiences, including PepsiCo Sales District Leader, leading the team and market to multi-million dollar success Ashley has also served in the Air National Guard for the last 14 years, serving on two tours and continues to support the Mission Support Group with the North Dakota Air National Guard.
Her background in sales, economic strategy, and business development has been instrumental in driving numerous successful projects that have generated job growth, spawned development of key areas, and supported local businesses.
“We are thrilled to promote Ashley to Director of Economic Development,” said James Hotopp, City Manager “Her tenacity, leadership, and understanding of our community make her the ideal person to continue our efforts in creating a vibrant, sustainable economy Ashley’s work has already brought significant benefits to our community, and we look forward to the positive impact she will make in her new role.”

As the season unfolds, December 14 brings the delightful 2nd Saturday Market at night and the charming Wassail Walk, where you can sample different wassails while leisurely strolling down York Avenue.
