NOTICE OF A CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Vallejo City Council will hold a Special Meeting to conduct a continued public hearing on the adoption of the New Zoning Code, Zoning Map, General Plan Amendments, Specific Plan Amendments, and Approval of a Mitigated Negative Declaration pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and other related actions as provided below. Date: Monday, June 7, 2021 Time: 6:00 P.M. Location: Due to the current Shelter at Home Order and in conformance with the Governor’s Executive Order N-29-30, the City of Vallejo will hold City Council meetings via teleconference. There will be no public access to City Hall for any public meetings until further notice. Any interested members of the public desiring to watch the meeting or communicate with the City Council regarding the New Zoning Code Project and other actions including the Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration must do so by accessing the following link: https://bit.ly/2Jcjdvq, clicking on the City Council meeting date, and following the public comment instructions listed for this agenda item. PROJECT DESCRIPTION NEW ZONING CODE PROJECT: The City of Vallejo has completed a comprehensive update to its Zoning Code (Vallejo Municipal Code Title 16) that includes both text and map amendments to reflect the goals, policies, and implementation measures expressed in General Plan 2040. The proposed New Zoning Code establishes new and modified land use regulations that will guide future development and design throughout the City. The proposed New Zoning Code includes, but is not limited to new and revised zoning districts, permitting procedures, permitted and conditionally permitted land uses and development standards in each zoning district, city-wide development standards and land use definitions that regulate city-wide development. The Project also includes the following:  Adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration pursuant to CEQA  Amendments to the General Plan 2040 Text and Land Use Map  Amendments to the Downtown Vallejo Specific Plan and White Slough Specific Area Plan  Repeal of the Northgate Specific Plan ADDITIONAL INFORMATION On March 29, 2021, the Planning Commission voted unanimously to forward the Project including the supporting Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration to City Council for approval and adoption. On April 13, 2021, the City Council held a Public Hearing to consider the Project and supporting Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration and voted unanimously to continue the Public Hearing to a date to be determined. The Draft New Zoning Code includes an Errata of changes and corrections since the release of the revised document on March 5, 2021. The Errata, Draft New Zoning Code and Zoning Map, General Plan Text and Land Use Map Amendments, Specific Plan Amendments and Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration are available on the City’s website at: https://www.cityofvallejo.net/city_hall/departments___divisions/planning_and_development _services/planning_division/planning_division_document_library,click on Zoning Code (New). A hard copy of all documents is available for review at the Planning Division office, Monday - Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and at the JFK Library by appointment only.
