City of Suffolk Summer Program Guide Sept-Dec 2025

MESSAGE FROM THE CITY MANAGER
The vibrant colors of fall are back in Suffolk, and with them comes one of the most festive, exciting times of the year. I’m excited to share a few ways you can make the most of these cooler days with friends, family, and neighbors.
We’ll kick things off with The Taste of Suffolk on Saturday, September 13 — a delicious celebration of our city’s culinary scene. Picture local restaurants serving up their specialties, live music filling the air, and plenty of family-friendly activities right in the heart of downtown. It’s the perfect way to enjoy great food, great company, and the lively spirit of our community.
Next up is a true Suffolk favorite: Peanut Fest! From October 9–12, you can enjoy four days packed with live entertainment, thrilling rides, and mouthwatering treats — a beloved hallmark of Suffolk’s fall season.
And the fun doesn’t stop there! This October, rolling into our Downtown will be roller skating at Downtown Festival Park, giving friends and families a chance to lace up and enjoy the cool, fresh air.
The celebrations keep coming as fall gives way to the holiday season. There’s something for everyone, from the festive Grand Illumination to artisan markets. And we’ll all gather for the big one — the Suffolk Holiday Parade — the perfect kickoff to the most wonderful time of the year.
Cooler weather also means it’s a great time to enjoy some indoor fun. The Suffolk Public Library has a full lineup of programs that offer entertainment, learning, and connection for all ages.
Whether you’re walking our trails and admiring the fall foliage, hunting for finds at the Farmers’ Market, or cheering along the parade route, I hope you’ll take advantage of everything Suffolk has to offer this season. Let’s make it one to remember!
