The Loop / Healthy City Strategy
The Loop opens for the season when temperatures are consistently low enough to make and maintain the ice surface. Please do not skate on The Loop until we’ve announced it’s open – skating on it before then damages the ice and delays the opening.

Pop-up stores bringing fresh food to you
‘Food on the Move’ is a pop-up store that brings fresh fruit and vegetables to neighbourhoods in St. John’s. It also creates a place to connect with neighbours.
Bringing healthy food store into neighbourhoods improves the food environment and the overall wellbeing of the community. Having access to food individuals want and need has great health benefits and brings people together.
Food on the Move is led by Food First NL with support from the City. It builds from their partnership on the St. John’s Food Policy Council and other innovative food solutions in the Healthy City Strategy.
